About Stout

GINGER: Ginger is the sweetest thing. She eats like a pig, is very adventurous, jumps from couch to couch doing crazy acrobatics. She is completely friendly and has never gotten angry. Very easy to take out of the cage and hold. She will sit on your shoulder as long as you want. She is a climber and one minute shes on the floor and the next shes in the curtains! When handling her, she likes to have support under her belly, so just placing her on your hand when you take her out of the cage will stop her from flailing her arms and legs. She gets nervous and will hold on tight so watch those nails! STOUT: I have never met a more passive Chihuahua/Jack Russell. He absolutely loves people and being held. He give tons of licks. He is wonderful with other dogs and keeps to himself indoors, but during outside time he will definitely initiate play. Great leashed. Great off leash at parks. He listens fairly well and will come back when you call. He is super quiet and affectionate at home and he will want you to hold him or keep him on your lap. He is great to walk with and will never lunge or go after another dog. He will want to sniff and wag his tail at them. People are his drug and if someone is near he will try and get to them to be pet. If you give him a toy or a ball he will entertain himself with it on his own. He loves tug-a-war and being chased. The only times he barks are when he is outside playing with other dogs. He barks when he plays chase and will bark to egg on another dog to play. Otherwise, he is quiet as a mouse. Sometimes with rough play he will inadvertently show those Chihuahua teeth, but he will never lunge bite. He will playbite your finger with play and if you just say "easy" he knows that you want him to stop and he stops.
