I’ve pet sit for family friends since I was a teenager. I’ve also owned reptiles for the last few years and currently have a bearded dragon, crested gecko, and whites tree frogs. I went to school for animal care and received my degree in Aquarium & Zoo Sciences, as well as a degree in Psychology. I also took up minors in American Sign Language and Animal-Assisted Health and Education. During my college years I completed two separate 400+ hour internships with over forty different species of domestic and exotic animals. I also completed a 52 hour animal care practicum with a licensed dog trainer. Other required courses included an animal care class, dog training course, and cat training course. In addition to my coursework I was an employee of, and eventually student manager of, my campus aquatics lab. I have now been a zookeeper for going on a year, which has made me comfortable with administering various topical and oral medications.
