Hello. My name is Tricia and l bring more than five years of professional veterinary medical experience, along with many years of caring for animals in my own home. My experience includes dogs and cats as well as ferrets and a variety of small companion animals, giving me a broad understanding of different personalities, needs, and comfort levels. What sets me apart is not only my professional animal-care background, but the way I approach the animals entrusted to me. I believe animals deserve to be treated with patience, kindness, respect, and compassion. I do not believe in forcing or intimidating an animal into compliance. Instead, I pay attention to what each individual animal is communicating and work to help them feel safe and comfortable in my care. My veterinary experience has also taught me to be observant. I understand the importance of noticing changes in an animal’s behavior, appetite, mobility, bathroom habits, or general demeanor that someone without a medical background might overlook. I am comfortable caring for animals with a wide variety of needs and understand the importance of following an owner’s instructions carefully. I am mature, dependable, and responsible, and I understand what it means to have someone trust me with both a beloved animal and access to their home. I have reliable transportation, can offer flexibility with scheduling, and may be available with relatively short notice. Whether your pet is outgoing and immediately wants to make a new friend or needs a little more time and space to become comfortable, I am happy to meet them where they are.
