Dog Lover - Foster Mom to 65+ Dogs

In-home style boarding for NOTL & Fort Erie regions. Summer months until mid-October, dogs can enjoy stays for 2 weeks or longer, at the family lake front cottage in Northern Ontario. I’m finally doing what I love - spending my days and nights surrounded by and caring for four-legged love. For the past 20 years I’ve fostered more than 68 dogs - mostly Weimaraners & Danes in my home. I give them a soft place to land - help them become the best dogs they can be and then find forever families they deserve. Dogs are so special - they make me laugh, smile and sometimes they take a little piece of my heart when they leave. They provide unconditional love and daily joy. I am a professional- this is my business. Let me care for your babies - your time away will be worry-free knowing that their every need - emotional and physical - is being met with the highest standard of care. I promise to send photos/videos while you are away so you won’t be too homesick! If you have a puppy (under 18 months), I can provide a special rate as I tend to take on one puppy at a time to ensure everyone is safe and happy. I can also tend to seniors or dogs with chronic or short-term medical conditions. Please ask about these rates - for 24/7 care in your home where your dog will be most comfortable. I DO NOT board dogs who are not neutered - but offer home sitting instead. For a rate of $200 per night, I will even travel to Toronto to look after your dog(s) and home. You can count on me.

We could not have been happier with Tricia and her husband Jim!! We know Bailey was very happy & extremely cared for. We appreciated the regular updates, pictures & videos we received. We wish Tricia and Jim all the best in your new place, but are sad to see you go!!!

This review is VERY overdue but so well deserved that even though it's been over a year, I think about Tricia and how wonderful she is all the time. (I'm sorry this is so late, Tricia!) Tricia took the absolute best care of our dear Daisy during our wedding weekend in Elora, in June of 2022. When we arrived, my husband and I were immediately overcome with a sense of calm and warmth that Tricia and her home provided. Daisy took to her right away and made herself right at home, which is huge for Daisy who is typically nervous in new spaces and with new people! A true testament to how loving and natural Tricia is with animals :) Tricia went above & beyond to bring Daisy to meet us for a few photos in the park before our wedding ceremony and it made our whole day being able to have her there and then knowing that she was being well taken care of and loved for the rest of the weekend! Although we haven't had the opportunity to travel much since and haven't needed a dog-sitter in a while, I would absolutely without hesitation have Daisy stay with Tricia again and hope that the opportunity arises in the future. Tricia, thank you so much for taking such amazing care of our girl during our wedding weekend and for your kindness and warmth. We will never ever forget it <3

Can't say enough about Tricia. We and Piper, our 10 year old golden retriever, just loved having her as our sitter. From the moment we met her we knew Piper would be in good hands. She sent photos of him playing, eating and relaxing and took care of him as if he was family. Today we even discovered a gift and note for Piper in amongst his bag of belongings. Thank you ? Paige, Mike and Piper

Tricia was wonderful with our dog Loki for an overnight stay! He got tons of exercise and love and we received pictures of him often :) I would highly recommend Tricia .

I hit the dog sitting lottery with Tricia. Not only does she have an amazing space for your pup she is genuinely passionate about dog ownership and has been training dogs for a long time. My Bernedoodle can be anxious but Tricia made her feel right at home and comfortable. I knew my baby was in good hands immediately highly recommend.

Tricia was fantastic! My dog Dirks is a timid rescue and needs a lot of one-on-one time which Tricia went above and beyond to provide. After spending a few minutes in Tricia’s home with her and Dirks I knew he was in good hands. Tricia sent pictures and videos with updates which was great to see. I will be using Tricia again!
