I currently train dogs at a facility with a PetsHotel! I am cross trained in helping the hotel staff with providing care. I love getting hands on with pups as much as I can! My training skills also include: -Basic/Advanced Obedience (Positive Reinforcement Accreditation) -Puppy/Senior Dog experience -Behavior Modification experience (Hands on experience under a behaviorist. Not accredited in this field on my own) -Tasking experience (Picking up/holding objects, Closing doors, Support for a person to stand up if fallen down) -I LOVE working with reactive dogs. The most rewarding part for me is helping pet parents understand their dog’s thinking. I aim to help pet parents navigate intense situations in a constructive way. Every rep counts!

I have a spacious apartment with a very dog friendly community. I have two cats who stick to themselves and a dog who will be anyone’s best friend. She is a larger breed and loves her space in her crate. So if your dog is smaller or you are unsure of how they interact with other dogs, I can easily work in very slow introductions (or potentially keep them separated for a boarding stay). I have been in the pet care/training industry for almost three years now so I understand the levels of stress signals in dogs. I am looking to make Private care my full time career, so your pup is my pup when they’re here! If your pup boards with us and I have to be out to teach group classes; my wife will be home with your pup! She is a registered nurse and shares my love for animals!

We originally hired Trey for standard house sitting, though after meeting and working together a bit his visits turned into full training sessions and we ended up with more care than we thought we could get for our guys while we were away. He stayed on schedule and worked nicely with others who were staying out our home to make sure our boys exercised, engaged, and cared for. What sets this apart was that every visit ended up as high-level training session. Communication was fantastic and completely reliable before, during, and after the sit, good photos every day of the visits. Trey is a natural at reading body language in real time and has expertise with large breeds and helped us update patterns that had crept into our own handling. We’re thrilled he moved to Fort Collins and brought his skills here. We’ll absolutely be booking him for future trips and are already lining up our holiday schedule with him.
Trey was easy to work with and took great care of our boys while we were gone. He even went the extra mile and took out our trash, hid treats around the house for our boys (that he brought), watered our garden, AND left us a gift of handmade soaps, etc. from his company. Top notch sitter!
Trey's dog trainer status adds good layers to his dog care. First rate!
Trey did a great job with my very senior dog. Followed my instructions and kept me updated. I would definitely hire him again. Plus a super nice person!

Schedule
I am a dog trainer from Austin Texas. I worked under a behaviorist for the first year of my career. I handled group classes while any dogs who needed special attention got to have the two of us work their case. Being at a PetSmart allowed us to provide a high level of intervention at a very friendly price point for pet parents. I want to create as big of an impact as possible for as many pet parents as possible! Because of that; I am taking this on as a means to provide a bigger impact to pet parents in my community!
