Availability
I recently moved to Saco and work a standard 9–5 in South Portland, which leaves my evenings and weekends open. I’m hoping to connect with a few regular clients during those times. My own dog passed away over a year ago, and while I haven’t had the time to adopt again, I truly miss the companionship. I’m not doing this for the money — I genuinely enjoy spending my free time with dogs and providing them with care and attention.

About Trevor R.
Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize familiarity, routine, and respect for their space. I follow your instructions closely, maintain a clean and secure environment, and make sure your pet feels safe and supported while you're away. My coaching background helps me read behavior cues and respond with calm, structured care—especially helpful for anxious pets, energetic puppies, or seniors needing extra attention. I treat every home with professionalism and every pet like family.
Information Trevor R. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, I like to understand their daily routine, personality, and any specific needs. Things like feeding schedule, walking preferences, medical conditions, behavioral quirks, and comfort items help me provide consistent, stress-free care. I also appreciate knowing how they respond to new people, other animals, and changes in environment. The more I know upfront, the better I can tailor my approach to make your pet feel safe, happy, and at ease.
A typical day
A typical day starts with a friendly check-in and a walk tailored to your pet’s energy level—whether it’s a brisk neighborhood loop or a slower stroll with plenty of sniff breaks. I love mixing in playtime, basic training reinforcement, and quiet companionship depending on what your pet enjoys. For high-energy dogs, we might do some light agility or fetch; for seniors, it’s all about comfort, routine, and gentle care. I keep things consistent, safe, and fun, always tuned in to your pet’s mood and needs.

Pet care experience
With years of coaching and team leadership under my belt, I bring calm, consistency, and genuine care to every pet I work with. I specialize in structured routines, positive reinforcement, and adapting to each animal’s unique personality—whether it’s energetic puppies needing guidance or senior dogs who thrive on patience and comfort. I treat every walk or visit like a chance to build trust and connection, just like I do with the athletes and communities I’ve supported.
Reviews
Trevor is a great dog walker! He takes my dog on two long walks a day while I’m at work. When she returns she is a tired and happy pup. My dog can be nervous on leash when encountering other people and dogs, and Trevor is someone I trust to keep her moving and on track. My dog also historically pulls quite a bit on leash and Trevor has no problem handling her strength and has commented that she doesn’t even pull on their walks…so he must be a bit of a dog whisperer! Would recommend Trevor to dog walk or dog sit for any breed, age, and temperament dog!
