Caring for dogs is part of my everyday routine! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give your pup plenty of attention—whether that’s extra potty breaks, enrichment toys, or supervised playtime. I keep my calendar up to date, but I’m always happy to chat and adjust based on what works best for you and your dog.

I can offer loving environment with plenty of snuggles (if allowed), supervised play, and outdoor breaks. We are so fortunate to live in a dog-friendly community with walking trails and parks, so there are lots of opportunities for safe exploration and exercise. I’m happy to accommodate dogs with special needs and can administer oral medications or follow specific care routines as needed. I always take the time to get to know each dog’s personality, energy level, and preferences to make them feel as comfortable and loved as possible while you're away.

Before any stay or visit, I like to learn all the little details that help me care for your pet like they’re my own. I’ll ask about their daily routine—feeding schedule, walk times, potty habits—and anything health-related like medications, or allergies. I also like to know their personality: how they do with other dogs, new people, and if they have any quirks, fears, or favorite toys. If they’re trained with certain commands or have house rules (like no couch or special bedtime routines), I’m happy to follow them. Lastly, I’ll check in on how often you’d like updates and if there’s anything else that helps your pet feel safe, loved, and right at home.
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy, active, and engaged! Depending on your dog’s personality and needs, we might go on long walks, play fetch or tug-of-war, explore a nearby walking trail, or have some chill time at the dog park. At home, I like to mix in enrichment games like treat puzzles, teach some nose-work, or teaching a new trick just for fun. If your pup prefers cuddles and calm company, I’m more than happy to hang out and give them all the love and attention they want. Let me know their favorite games or routines—I’ll make sure they feel right at home!

Hello! My name is Trena. I have a 3 year old rescue pup, Barley, with my fiancé. We’re a dog-loving household through and through, and caring for pups is truly one of the biggest joys in my life. Dogs have been a part of my life for over 20 years—they’ve always felt like family to me. I treat my own dog like my child: she’s enrolled in enrichment and agility classes, and I make time every day to bond, play, and train with her. She goes almost everywhere with me, and her happiness and well-being are always my top priority. I bring that same level of care, patience, and attention to every dog I sit. Whether your pup needs high-energy playtime, gentle companionship, or a consistent routine while you’re away, I tailor my approach to fit their unique needs. I have experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments—from playful puppies to senior snugglers—and I’m always happy to follow your preferences and care instructions closely. Your pup will be treated like family—because that’s exactly what they are to me.

Trena is truly the best when it comes to taking care of my two dogs! She goes above and beyond and makes sure that my dogs are taken care of. Trena grew up with many dogs, and I was always so impressed by how well trained they all are. On the occasions when I need to go out of town, and Trena is always my go to when I needed help watching my dog. My dog is a senior pup, so her schedule is strict, and her body is fragile. I barely trust anyone with my dog, but I'd trust Trena with her any day any time. I know she'd take care of her as well as I would. Trena is patient and kind, and she's the type of person who cries when she watches dog shelter videos so trust me when I say she's going to take good care of your pet.
