Safety, trust & environment

I offer indoor dog care. We'll be able to get plenty of outdoor time during walks in our gated community. No outdoor time off the leash so safety as far as traffic or getting away isn't a concern here. We also have a small patio so when the weather cooperates we have that option for fresh air and sunlight while still being able to relax. Crate care isn't my go to, but if that is how you have your dog trained let me know and that's how we can handle time while I am outside of the home.

Home

Information Travis M. would like to know about your pet

I'm a softie, if you don't give me specific instructions I will base their care off what they tell me. Bad habit I know ?, so feel free to let me know if you do crate while home alone. Or if they aren't allowed on the furniture at home and you want them to keep that habit while they're visiting here. You can also give me a general guide on daily treat allowance. We don't over do treats here, just use them to supplement their diet in the evening a bit. All you have to do is mention if there's any adjustment you'd like me to make specific for your little one.

A typical day

A typical day here will be spending one on one time together. Tennis balls and plush toys on deck for whenever your pal is feeling playful. Start the day with a walk, 20-30 minutes around the neighborhood, time can vary if your buddy requires more or less. I'm not going to force them to walk if they're ready to chill. After walks we'll hydrate and cool off, FL can be so warm, then just chill or play depending on what your dog is in the mood for. I'll be home with them other than when I go to the gym or other errands that might come up. I like to go for a walk before I leave the house and when I get back just to be sure my gym time didn't interrupt their flow. I usually set out their food for the day at the start so they can get it as they want it. If you have specific feeding habits you want to keep just let me know. The simple cycle of walks and chilling or playing will continue finishing with a walk before going to bed for the night. We keep a simple happy household.

Pet care experience

I offer in home dog care. It's not a leave your dog outside to chill, checking in on them every so often. Their time with me will be spending most of the day together hanging out. They'll have options to have time alone in the spare room while keeping an eye on the neighborhood, if that's a hobby they enjoy. When they want to be social we'll watch movies or play video games together. We go outside every few hours for a 20-30 minute walk. I don't own any dogs to be playmates of yours while they're here, but the neighborhood is full of dog owners that we'll get to meet up with on walks. I am fine with your dog enjoying my furniture. If that's not how you have things at your home let me know and I can keep them living to your standards during their stay. I do my best to not spoil dogs with treats. Let me know how you typically handle giving treats to your buddy, and if there are any tricks or commands you use or are working on learning so we can continue their progress during their stay. Crate care isn't my go to, but if that is how your dog is trained just let me know and that's how we can handle time when your dog will be home alone. I'm very lucky to be able to work from home so there's just a few hours each day when your dog will be alone during their stay. It's up to you if that time is spent in a crate or not.

Travis did another great job caring for Klaebo and Kelsey, which can be challenging with medication and other needs. We really appreciate how Travis sends nightly pictures and updates, the dogs seem genuinely happy. He is very patient and caring with our dogs and we really appreciate it.

Travis took wonderful care of Rex! Rex is naturally shy and takes time to warm up to new people, but Travis was incredibly patient and kind with him. Before long, Rex had become attached to him and was clearly feeling comfortable in his care. We really appreciated the daily updates, especially seeing Rex grow more relaxed and confident each day. We left Rex with Travis for two weeks and are so grateful for the excellent care he received. Rex came home happy, healthy, and completely himself. We wouldn’t hesitate to trust Travis with him again! 🐾
