Snuggles, Sniffs & Tail-Wagging Adventures Await!

Hi, I’m Tracy – a lifelong animal lover with a heart full of belly rubs, long walks, and muddy paw prints! 🐾 My love for animals started early—my grandparents ran a small independent pet shop, and I started helping out there at just 12 years old. From chinchillas to African Grey parrots, rabbits to hamsters, I learned how to care for all kinds of pets—and I stayed there until I was 19! As you can imagine I’ve grown up with various family pets and have never had a home that didn’t have a pet! For the past 15 years, I’ve been lucky to share my life with two wonderful labradoodles (both large, loving goofballs). We sadly lost them both over the last couple of years, and while we’re not quite ready to adopt again, I miss the joy that comes from spending time with dogs—so here I am, turning my lifelong passion into something I can offer to others. Though I’m new to Rover, I’m not new to caring for animals. I regularly look after friends’ and family members’ dogs—including Italian Spinones, greyhounds, beagles, labradors, and retrievers—and I understand that every pup has their own quirks and needs. Whether it’s a slow stroll for a senior dog or playtime for an excitable pup, I’ll tailor my care to suit them. We currently live with two cats—a chatty Bengal and a sleek little black cat—so I’m happy around all kinds of animals and fully used to fur, noise, and the occasional mischievous streak! After 15 years in hospitality, I’m ready for a new chapter—one filled with wagging tails, fresh air, and the kind of companionship only animals can bring. I’d love to be your dog’s new walking buddy (or cuddle companion) while you’re away.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I believe pets are happiest and most comfortable in their own familiar surroundings, so I prefer to care for them in their home where they feel safe and secure. Staying in their own environment helps reduce stress and allows them to stick to their usual routines—whether that’s mealtimes, walk times, favourite napping spots, or just the comforting smells of home. My approach is calm, gentle, and always led by the pet’s needs. I take the time to get to know each animal’s personality and routine so they feel at ease with me from the start. Whether I’m popping in for a visit or staying a little longer, you can trust that your pet is in safe, reliable, and caring hands.

Tracy was fantastic. She came over for a meet & greet and Beau immediately loved her. While staying with Beau, Tracy sent lots of updates and photos and we came back to a calm, happy dog.

I’ve known Tracey for many years and it has always been a pleasure to not only meet her own dogs, but also have her care for my Alaskan Shepherd. She is extremely trustworthy, honest, and reliable — the kind of person you can count on without hesitation. Tracey is wonderful with animals and people alike, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with house sitting, dog sitting, or walking my furry friends, big or small.

Tracy looked after my ragdoll cat, Ziggy, and I couldn’t have asked for better care. She was kind, reliable, and really seemed to understand his personality. She made sure he was well-fed, brushed, and had plenty of playtime and company. I appreciated the updates while I was away, it was clear she genuinely cared. I’d happily trust her with Ziggy again.

We have a 14 year old beagle who unfortunately can’t walk much anymore. Tracy used to walk Henley though when she was about 12 years old and Henley absolutely loved her. She was patient with Henley, who has had severe joint problems for years, letting Henley decide the pace. Henley also has other health issues that restricted her diet - Tracy was always very respectful of these, and only gave her biscuits that we had allowed in advance (usually raw carrot, which Henley loves!). It was so nice having someone who has had older dogs and knows the score - Henley was allowed to snuffle as she pleased but given lots of love and understanding. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

Tracey has been fantastic with both our dogs, both of which are German shepherds and pretty strong willed. When she walked our last dog, she was conscious of letting him approach her and their friendship grew quickly from there. Tracy was always keen to do things he enjoyed, from active walks, playing ball and snuggles when he’d calmed down enough. Our new girlie is a rescue and has a few challenges. All of which Tracy has taken in her stride. She allows her to approach her in her own time and understands where her limits are. Our girlie loves her time with Tracy. We cannot recommend Tracy enough. She’s reliable, always on time, and just a bundle of energy and fun which our dog loves. We know that without fail, they are looked after as if they are Tracy’s own dogs.

Caring for animals fits naturally into my routine—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and make time for. Right now, I’m available all day on Mondays and Tuesdays, and from 4pm onwards on Wednesdays. From the 13th of August, once my son starts school, I’ll be available Monday to Friday during the day, with evening slots also possible. I’m also happy to discuss weekend care where needed. If you need a last-minute booking, feel free to reach out—I’m more than happy to take on same-day requests if my calendar allows. I know plans can change quickly, and I’ll always do my best to be there when you need someone you can rely on.

Ideally, I’d prefer to arrange a meet and greet before any bookings. It’s a great way for us to make sure we’re the right fit and, most importantly, it gives your pet a chance to feel settled and comfortable in my care. I’m a confident and experienced pet owner who’s happy to take most things in stride. That said, if your furry friend is particularly nervous, reactive, or has specific behavioural needs, please don’t hesitate to get in touch beforehand—I’ll always do my best to accommodate and reassure you.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
