Hello! My name is Tracy, and I love pups more than peeps. My better half, Trevor, feels the same. We have a large home with a large fenced in backyard, with a doggie door. We have a 15 year old short haired border collie mix named Molly. She is arthritic with some balance issues, but she is patient and kind and does well at the dog park still. She really likes puppies, and when doggies are too much with her she’s firm but gentle. She doesn’t snap or anything when younger dogs step on her or push her, though I would worry about dogs who might hurt her by playing too rough. If your dog is the type who will climb on her back and not stop then we’ll not be a good fit. We recently adopted a 1 year old black lab Shepard mix, named Nyx. She is kind and gentle, and has all the energy to play with doggie friends. She was in boarding through a shelter program for several weeks and played well with the other dogs. She ignores dogs who aren’t interested in her, as she prefers people attention, but doggies who would like to play with her can do zoomies together. I am working from home currently. We have a doggie door that opens into a fenced in backyard with a covered porch. We have A LOT of houseplants, so even though I will be keeping a close eye on the dogs, sneaky plant snackers are not be the best fit here. In the past I've rescued, trained and rehomed many dogs (most pitties) and love every minute I have with them. I formerly worked at a large volume doggy daycare and boarding facilty which I'm glad to say had very high standards of care. I was trained in caretaking and safety in a variety of situations. Trevor and I are both very patient, I know a lot of dogs can be a bit frustrating, but I understand why they act the way they do and would never fault them for it. Will currently only be hosting 1 dog at a time, unless they are lower energy and come from one home together. I don’t want to overwhelm our senior citizen pup. Exceptions can be made during emergencies, but everything will be communicated with both parents first. So excited to meet your fur baby and give them all the snuggles!
