Availability
Pet care easily fits into my routine. I make my own schedule and do not have required hours. I have very few limits to my availability. I am working on my degree through an online program which allows me to fit my schedule around whatever your needs may be. I am able to accommodate walks and drop-ins whenever needed and for the amount of time that you think is appropriate for your individual pet. The expectations for a house sitting vary by client. Overnight care is considered a part of a house sitting, unless specified otherwise by the client. Generally, your pet should be able to be left alone for a maximum of 4 -6 hours If they cannot be alone for at least 2 hours, this usually calls for a constant care sitting. The house sitting is my top priority during the time that it is scheduled for. I am able to limit the amount of time spent away from your home. Anything that I need to do I always plan around your pet's needs and schedule. You and your fur baby come first. My goal is to make sure you and your loved ones can breathe easy knowing that your pet and your home are being well cared for. Each house sitting requires a conversation where we are able to set up the perfect itinerary for your specific fur baby’s needs. For each request I receive I reply as quickly as possible with a few preliminary questions so that we are able to get a feel for each other. Meet and Greets can be scheduled so that I am able to interact with your pets, go over any routines in more detail and make arrangements for keys or entry to your home. There are times when a pet may require a higher level of care than most. I am always willing to discuss what your pet's needs are and how I can make sure that you are as comfortable as possible. Constant care prices may be different than normal house sitting prices. This type of special circumstance can be discussed when we meet. I will do everything I can to make sure you and your fur baby have everything that you need.

Safety, trust & environment
I am thorough with everything I do. I follow instructions and pay attention to how pets react to situations. When taking the first walk with a new pet I keep my eyes on everything, from bunnies and squirrels running by to other dogs walking to kids on scooters flying by. Each and every dog reacts differently and I take note of those reactions and respond appropriately. In your home I always follow the directions given and will reach out with any questions. I am well prepared and organized. My top priority is to keep your baby safe and give them all the love and attention that they deserve!

Information Tracy D. would like to know about your pet
It's important to know any particular habits a dog might have. How they tend to react to other dogs, people, cats, bikes, cars and more are helpful pueces of info. It's also important to know any allergies or fears the dog might have. Anything out of the ordinary is vital. It is also important to know the dogs likes and dislikes so as to get to know the dog easier and more efficiently. I like to know the personality of each pet. I also am happy to continue any training that you may be in the process of and would like to know what commands your pet responds to. I am happy to spend the time practicing trainingg skills with your pup and will seek your permission and guidance in this endeavor. If your cat is a hider, that is important to know. Animals each have their own personality and it is very important that I learn about each and every one to the best of my ability. The more information you have the better the experience will be.
A typical day
I will keep them active by taking them for walks and playing with them. If you have a fenced yard we will play fetch and enjoy time outdoors off the leash. During walks pups are always kept on a leash but as long as your pup is able to we can add a jog into our daily routine as well! I love playing with kitties and giving them the chance to show off how smart they are with their favorite toys!

Animal lover always available
Pet care experience
I am a complete animal lover who has had pets all my life. I would love to help care for your pups and kitties any time! I treat each and every animal in my care as if they were my own. It is my firm belief that all pets are different, each with their own personalities, likes and dislikes, quirks and more. I approach each day and each pet with kindness, compassion, understanding and love combined with the knowledge and education I have when it comes to working with pets. I have experience with all different types and breeds of dogs, as well as cats and many other types of pets. When it comes to dogs I lean very much toward reward-based training as my goal is to strengthen the loving pet-owner relationship. I never want an animal to be scared into good behavior. I am adept at reading a pet's mood and taking cues from their body language. I work well with reactive dogs and am experienced with redirection. I helped out for years at the animal shelter in my hometown, providing walks, baths, feedings and all the love in the world to a variety of animals. All of my visits will be filled with many photos and a high level of communication. I am very flexible and strive to allow your pet to stay in the routine they are accustomed to. I am ready and willing to give your fur baby all the love that they deserve! I am also patient and willing to give your pet time to come to me if that is what it takes. I like to find that magic spot between giving the pet the lead on what works for them and promoting good behavior and ensuring safety. Kitties can often be a bit slower to warm up to humans and with my many years of past cat ownership I yearn for the moment an anxious kitty first rubs against my leg purring! All in all my experience, ability to listen and take direction in new situations, overall compassion and love for all animals, combined with the flexibility in my schedule, make me the perfect candidate to care for your pets in your absence!

Reviews

Tracy is the best! Always goes above and beyond. She takes great care of my pups when I’m away or just gone for a longer period of the day. Highly recommend if you’re in need of a great pet sitter!!

Tracy was so wonderful! She is a great communicator; I got photos and updates the entire time I was gone. My dog can be a little needy, but I felt totally at ease leaving him with her. My apartment was so clean and well cared for when I got home. I’ll absolutely be reaching out to her again the next time I’m out of town.

Cannot say enough good things about Tracy! She is the warmest human to our human and fur family! She is a wonderful communicator, took great pics and videos to put me at ease leaving our senior pup and is all around the most pleasant person to be around! Not to mention our house was cleaner than I left it for her! Thank you Tracy!!
