I've had dogs my whole life (usually mid-sized or larger) and it really wasn't until my first doxie that I discovered I had a hidden addiction. I absolutely love the little characters and personalities they show. My home is decked out with appropriate ramps and sunny/cozy spots to take special care of your wee one. Although I have experience with other sizes/ages I'd like to focus on seniors/special needs small breed/dachshund dogs. Doxies require a different level of care when playing/watching/lifting and I do it all. I'm experienced with senior dogs and administering medications. I live alone and work from home with my two pups so special care and attention is a given. I know it can be scary to leave our fur babies in someone else's care but I'll go above and beyond to make them feel loved and well cared for until they see you again.

Superb senior dog care! Our old pup had a bit of separation anxiety while we were away — not eating or drinking much because he missed us. Tracy handled it so patiently and thoughtfully by trying different foods and calming techniques to help him feel comfortable. We’re so grateful for the love and care she gave our old boy.
We had such a wonderful experience with Tracy and would absolutely book with her again. From the moment we dropped our dog off, she kept us constantly updated with tons of messages, photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It genuinely felt like she cared about our dogs as if they were her own. What we appreciated most was how transparent and honest she was throughout the stay. Our dog had a bit of a hard time adjusting the first night and instead of hiding it or glossing over it, she communicated openly with us right away and kept us informed on how he was doing. That level of honesty and care meant a lot and made us trust her even more. She was incredibly reassuring, attentive and thoughtful the entire time and it was clear our dog was in caring and capable hands. We’re so grateful for all the effort she put into making both us and our dogs feel comfortable. Highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter they can fully trust!
Benji had another great stay with Tracy and her pups. I have seen him grow and become so much more social and confident around other dogs and people (he tends to keep to himself). in fact, he whined in the car all the way home, probably missing his friends already! I appreciated Tracy's great care of Benji, and her sending us photos and videos of his adventures in the neighbourhood. A+++ again, and Benji's next stay is already booked!
Benji had another great stay with Tracy and her dogs. He is an "only dog" at home, so the socialization has been really good for him. He'll be staying with them for another week in a back-to-back booking. Highly recommend!!
Tracy was a great communicator and took great care of our pup. She has a very positive attitude and sent shots of him throughout the day. He seemed well cared for. Would recommend!

Schedule
I'm home about 70% of the time so I can give your pup the same one on one time, love and affection that I give to my own.

Safety, trust & environment
I don't have a fenced yard so our walks are actual walks (weather permitting). There is a green space though if the day is nice we can all go outside and garden? I'm prepared to give special services for special requirements depending on your needs. I'm also willing to update you with photos/texts so you know your little one is in good hands.
Pets
A typical day
I can (and will) treat your little one the same way I treat mine - with love, patience and affection throughout the whole day. Weather and abilities permitting (sometimes it's too hot for paws) we can go out on a sniffari (safari) around the neighbourhood or laze on the grass outside. I have puzzle games as well but I lean toward personal interaction (even if your senior is only into cuddling)
