House Sitting • Jan 05, 2026

Traci was super responsive and a great sitter! We had to change our plans last minute and she was understanding and willing to work with us so that our pets could be as well taken care of as possible. She sent daily updates with pictures and video that put my mind at ease and showed us how happy our dog Ellie was with her.

House Sitting • Dec 23, 2025

Traci kept regular updates and was able to take care of the medicine we add to our dog rummies food. She gradually integrated our cattle dog into her own dogs little pack and by the time we came back the dogs were all getting along. Traci also let us know about road closures after crazy weather on our flight back and was ok with taking Rummie one more night so we could stay at hotel that night. Traci also came through in a bind when our other Rover sitter bailed last minute. Highly recommended and will book her again for sure.

Traci was so fantastic. She was a great communicator and we came back to a house cleaner than when we left. She has a great love for dogs and she made it very easy to leave our babies with her. We always check to see if she is available for our babies before checking with others!

Traci is an incredible dogsitter - one of the best I've had the pleasure of working with. Before we met in person, she asked the right questions about Bea (my dog). She is obviously a dog lover and is extremely knowledgeable about them - she has several of her own and fosters as well. My dog, who is oftentimes shy and protective at first, took to her immediately. I was away for over a week, and Traci sent daily videos of Bea, looking happy on walks, cuddling on the couch, and playing fetch. They explored new parts of the city (Traci always asking first if it was okay). Traci even taught Bea to "roll over!" Traci is responsible, responsive, and respectful. And most importantly, she'll take wonderful care of your beloved pets.

Traci is a dedicated pet owner and animal advocate. She runs a non-profit that helps bring dogs from shelters in other areas to Oregon and Washington so they can be fostered by a loving family and adopted. So when it comes to your pets needs, she has seen it all and has a huge heart for all animals. We recently had our two dogs stay with her, her family, and her furry family while we were out of town. They had their own dedicated sleep area (per our request) and spent most of the day playing in her large fully fenced field with the rest of the pack. Traci is a dedicated host and she will treat your pet like part of her family.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and well-being are my top priority when watching animals. Since I run a rescue and deal with what we call “flight risks” frequently, I am well versed in how to keep dogs safe and avoid escape. As a surgical nurse for over 30 years, my medical training combined with my rescue experience of over 15 years provides me with the necessary skillsets to take care of your pets medical needs should they have any, and what to do in the case of an emergency. My work with rescue dogs has also necessitated me to work with many trainers over the years. Although not a certified trainer, I have experience in working with behaviorally challenged dogs using positive training methods. Your dog will be in competent hands either in my home or yours while I am pet sitting.

Pets

A typical day

I am detail oriented and follow all the guidelines set forth by a pet-owner. Who knows their dogs needs best but the owner right? So if your dogs does best with frequent potty breaks, or walks 2-3 times a day, that is what they will get. Since I work m-f, your dog will have me as their companion. And, since my work is flexible, there is plenty of room to get in whatever activities are best suited to them. Fun, safety and maintaining the routines and structure your dogs have when you are home is my goal.
