For over nine years, I was the Director of Operations at one of the South Bay’s most respected dog daycares, overseeing hundreds of happy dogs each week. I’m a Certified Trainer and Counselor through the Academy for Dog Trainers, a Certified Kennel Operator, a former Certified Professional Dog Trainer–Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), and pet first aid and CPR certified. I also hold a degree in Wildlife Biology with a minor in Zoology. I’ve worked in Colorado and California animal shelters, giving me deep insight into canine behavior, health, and welfare. Whether your pup is with me for daycare, boarding, or housesitting, they’ll receive personalized, compassionate care tailored to their unique personality and routine. I’m highly experienced with senior dogs, medical needs, and mobility challenges, and I’m comfortable administering oral and sub-q medications. Every dog in my care is treated like family, with safety, enrichment, and genuine affection at the heart of everything I do. Tracey has cared for Maize several times now, and we continue to feel very comfortable leaving her in Tracey’s care. She was originally referred to us by the dog trainer we worked with, and we have found her to be extremely reliable, responsible, and thorough. Tracey has extensive professional experience with dogs, including working as a dog trainer, and that experience really shows in the way she cares for Maize. Maize is a sensitive rescue dog, and Tracey is very attentive to her behavior and cues and thoughtful about making her feel comfortable and secure. She has also shared helpful advice with us—for example, recommending a harness that would be better suited to Maize given how strong she can be on leash. Tracey follows our care instructions carefully, communicates well, and genuinely cares about Maize. She is also very conscientious with our home. It’s such a relief to be able to go away knowing that Maize is with someone so experienced and trustworthy. We highly recommend Tracey, especially for anyone looking for a responsible and knowledgeable sitter who really understands dogs.
Rocko struggles with dog reactivity so finding a caretaker to stay with him and handle him safely outside was our #1 priority. Tracey was fantastic and her communication and handling were thoughtful. Thank you for taking care of Rocko so we could do what we needed to on our business trips!

Schedule
I own my businesses and work from home, so while I have regular online client meetings, my days are fairly flexible. I am home most of the time.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a condo in a quiet, clean complex. It's very green and dog-friendly. Your dog would be the only animal in my home (unless you have more than one dog or there is a pre-arranged agreement). If it is your dog's first stay with me, I will be home the vast majority of the time. As they get more comfortable, I may leave for up to several hours to run errands. However, if I am watching your dog, I am making a commitment to you both, so taking care of your pet is my #1 priority.
A typical day
I have a lovely complex for mini-walks and live in a quiet neighborhood near the Los Gatos Creek Trail. I enjoy going for daily walks, and having a companion with me is always nice! Your dog's sleeping arrangement I allow dogs on my bed, but I will adhere to any rules you have for your dog. If they sleep in a crate at home, they will sleep in a crate here. If they sleep on your bed, they will sleep on mine. :) Small dogs are easiest in my condo, but I will always have a soft spot for the giant breeds. If your dog doesn't fit my stated requirements but you think would fit in well, please just reach out, and we will see what we can work out. I am happy to take two dogs from the same household.
