I keep in touch with the pet parent about important details. and make sure to follow dietary guidelines . I also don’t mind keeping the pets area neat and cleaning up after the pet if there are any messes. I am educated on dog coat types and and able to understand grooming needs; therefore I can do basic grooming services. We can discuss what you are comfortable with.

A typical day
Initially, I would try to find out by observation ,what your pets interest are. Sometimes it’s balls other times it’s stuffed toys. Some dogs love for you to walk and run with them. However; dog walking is a basic care need. It helps with the mental and emotional health of your pet making them more trainable and compliant ; so I tend to lead with that. Some dogs don’t require as much exercise as others.

I am a pet care specialist at a local animal clinic. My job is to care for pets by offering boarding, daycare and grooming services. I have an associates degree in Biology. I am currently a Junior at Tuskegee University pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Animal/Veterinary sciences. I also have experience in care for small exotic pets(AALAS member).
