Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets during dog walks or drop-in visits, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and making sure your pet feels happy and loved while you’re away. For dog walks, I always make sure your pup is secure with a properly fitted harness or leash, and I tailor the walk to their energy level, age, and needs. Whether it’s a slow stroll for a senior dog or a more active walk for a younger pup, I’ll make sure they get fresh air, exercise, and plenty of encouragement along the way. I’ll also clean up after them and give them water if needed after the walk. For drop-in visits, I follow your instructions closely to keep your pet’s routine consistent. This includes feeding, refreshing water, potty breaks, playtime, and any special care like administering medication or cleaning up accidents. I always take time to give your pet attention and affection so they feel calm and cared for, even when you’re not home. I also provide updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in great hands!

Information Tori H. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for any pet, it’s important for me to know their routine, personality, and any special needs. This helps me give them the best possible care and keep them happy and comfortable while you’re away. Here are a few things I always like to know in advance: • Feeding schedule and dietary restrictions • Any medical conditions or medications • Behavioral quirks (Are they nervous around strangers? Do they guard toys or food? Are they leash reactive?) • What comforts them (Favorite toys, treats, calming techniques) • How they do around other pets or people (especially on walks) • Commands they know or are working on • House rules (Are pets allowed on furniture? Crate trained? Any areas off-limits?) The more I know about your pet’s unique personality and routine, the better I can tailor my care to keep them safe, stress-free, and loved!

A typical day

I love making sure pets have fun, feel loved, and get the attention they deserve while you’re away! For dogs, I tailor activities to their personality and energy level — that might mean a game of fetch, tug-of-war, exploring the neighborhood on a walk, or just some belly rubs and cuddle time if they’re more low-key. I also enjoy reinforcing good manners with simple commands like “sit” or “stay” (with treats and praise, of course!). For cats, I know play is just as important — I’ll engage them with toys like feather wands or laser pointers, or simply give them a cozy lap and chin scratches if that’s what they prefer. My goal is to make sure every pet feels happy, comfortable, and loved — and to keep their tail wagging (or purring) until you’re back home!

Pet care experience

I’m a dedicated pet lover with two dogs of my own, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, or just some extra love and attention, I’m here to help! I’ve grown up with dogs and have years of experience caring for them, from playful puppies to senior companions. While I haven’t had cats in my own home, I’ve looked after many cats and kittens and understand how to care for their unique needs too. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every dog or cat I care for like part of the family. I’d love to meet your furry friend and make sure they’re happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. Feel free to message me with any questions — I can’t wait to meet you and your pet!

Tori was prompt to our meet and greet and very kind and eager to help. She was there for our ladies and gave them all the love and attention we requested! It’s so nice to have someone we trust with our animals and our home, we will definitely use her again. Thank you Tori!

Tori has been great watching our Bichon, Teddy! She's always on time and sends pictures that are great to see during the work day. I would recommend Tori to anyone who has a pup that needs walked or just to hang out with during the day!
