Experienced Cat Foster Parent
I've been a foster parent for Seattle Humane for almost 4 years. I've taken care of cats in a wide range of ages from kittens as young as 4 weeks to senior cats as old as 18. Most cats in foster have some medical issues so I have lots experience giving medications including pills, liquids, topicals, eye drops, and nebulizers and I'm willing to give injections. I've provided a loving home for cats with many different personalities and energy levels. I work remotely as a software engineer so I am home most of the day. I always let the cat lead the interaction and never force them to engage if they don't want to. That can mean simply being in the room so they can get used to me, being a great bird watching and nap companion, or actively playing with toys and boxes. I don't have any resident cats and will not foster if boarding your cat or house sitting. Though someday I hope to adopt one of my own. My place is set up well for a kitty visitor. I have 5ft cat tree by big windows perfect for looking out, a large scratching post, horizontal scratching pads, and plenty of toys. I have a self washing litter box and a regular litter box depending on what your cat is most comfortable with. As a foster parent I am used to disinfecting and washing everything between cat visitors.

I live in a studio apartment perfectly set up to welcome your cat! My place has a 6ft cat tree next to large windows that look out onto the street. I also have multiple tunnels and a box full of different toys for playtime. Depending on your cat's energy levels we'll play multiple times a day or just nap together.

Tori was fantastic! She is so knowledgeable about cats (from fostering with Seattle Humane, too) and she was great with caring for our senior cat, who was being fussy about food. In the regular updates she sent, our cat was clearly smitten with her and they had some fun playtime. She also took great care of our house. Huge recommendation for Tori (but don't take her away from us)!
Tori was amazing, she took wonderful care of our kitties and home. She sent lots of pictures and updates so we knew everything was going well and we could relax and enjoy our trip!

Schedule
I spend most of my time at home which is perfect for looking after your cat! I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to work around your cats routine to make them as comfortable as possible in a new environment. I've also accumulated many different toys while fostering though I'm sure my most current cardboard box will be their favorite.
