Helpful information is provided at the bottom of this page.*** About us: We live in North Wake County (near Beaver Dam/Falls Lake/Three Bear Acres) on a 35 acre hobby farm just 10-15 minutes from Raleigh, Durham, and Wake Forest. We offer flexible drop off and pick up hours weekdays and weekends from 8 AM to 6:30 PM. Dogs are only crated while in our care at the direction of their pet parent(s). Before we had children we fostered rescue dogs. We have 3 animal loving boys ages 15-20. We have a silky terrier princess, mini poodle, parrots, chickens, geese, turkeys, pot belly pigs and a rescue iguana. We have a large fenced front yard and a wide open field for exercise, walks, and play (no neighbors or busy street). We will treat your dog like our own while they are in our care. While they stay with us they become part of our family. We do our best to mirror your pups home life and do not expect perfection from your fur babies. My dog loving husband and/or myself are home 80% of the day! ***Most of our Rover families are repeat stays. We know our clients and their pups well. They have become extended family. If you're new to us, you can be sure we know the dogs your pup will encounter at our home. We’ve been Rover sitters for over nine years and have only five star reviews! ***Please take a moment to fill out your dogs information before submitting your Rover request. These are important details I need to know about your pup before scheduling a meet and greet. It would be great if you could upload a photo, as well. ***I try to keep my Rover calendar up to date and accurate. However, I often save dates for repeat clients who have requested a stay but wish to book at a later date (especially during holidays). My Rover calendar does not take these reservations into account and may show boarding spaces are available when they are not and vice versa. It is always a good idea to reach out to me with your dates whether my calendar shows availability or no availability. In certain instances, I can add spaces depending on the dogs who are staying with me and/or dates they are booked. We look forward to getting to know your family ... human and canine alike!

Gus LOVES staying at Tonya’s! When we pull into the driveway, he starts wagging his tail and whining to get out and see her. He’s stayed with her many times and will continue to do so, because we know he’s so well taken care of when he’s there!
This was Murray’s 3rd stay and Winston’s 1st and we are extremely pleased as always. Tonya is very responsive and accommodating. We love receiving pictures and updates on our pups! Tonya’s property is like summer camp for the dogs and we feel very comfortable leaving them there. We are very appreciative of Tonya for taking great care of our fur babies while we vacation.
Super happy with my dogs stay with Tonya! She is extremely nice and has a great system for watching multiple dogs! Highly recommend.
Gus had the BEST time at Tonya’s! She kept me updated everyday with pictures and a summary of how his day went. Highly recommend! Gus is already booked for another stay in July!

Schedule
My husband or myself are home most of the day. Pups are exercised and taken outside frequently. We are very routine oriented which helps nervous pups figure out the lay of the land. We avoid chaos … feeding dogs separately, meeting the pack in a controlled, one at a time environment, allowing our guests to get out their anxieties before joining our Rover pack.

Your dogs stay will mimic your pups home life as closely as possible. We feed all pups one on one. Our yard is where the dogs let loose and typically resembles a dog park. We try our best to allow pups to sleep in an environment similar to their home environment. If they’re crated at home, we’ll crate them here. If they sleep with a human, we’ll find a human for them to sleep with. If they don’t care, we’ll allow them to pick a spot and make it their own. Happy pups are happy stays!

I realize dogs, like people, are not perfect and behaviors that are out of character may arise as a result of separation anxiety or being taken out of ones comfort zone. Your dog will be part of the family while in my care. I will respect, without judging, your pet parenting style and honor any special requests you have that will make your dog feel more comfortable while in my home. Most importantly ... Your dog WILL have FUN while you are away!
