The Dogfather
I’ve been living with dogs since I was born! Growing up we had an Irish Setter and a Golden Retriever mix as our first family dogs. I learned a lot from my mom who always put our dogs needs ahead of her own and took exceptional care of them. By the time I was around 10 both of our dogs unfortunately had passed away. The house was feeling a little empty so we rescued a lab mix. Then about a year later we got golden retriever puppy so he could have a friend! It wasn’t easy but after a lot of hard work and dedication they both turned out to be amazing dogs! My parents had to work a lot during that time and as I got older it became mainly my responsibility to take care of our dogs. I learned first hand how hard, but also how rewarding taking care of dogs can be. I haven’t seen it all but I’ve experienced enough to feel confident that your dog(s) will be safe and comfortable here! In December of 2020 I adopted a Shiba Inu puppy (Yoshi). We live in a quiet neighborhood on the east side of Madison in a spacious house with a fenced in yard. I joined Rover in November of 2022 because I wanted to help provide other dog owners with a safe and loving place to bring their dogs. I am very fortunate to be able to work from home full time and can accommodate most requests as well as be very flexible with pickup and drop off times.

Tony has calm energy. I reached out to him ~72 hours before a last-minute business trip and he made the time to do a meet and greet. He was responsible in how he introduced my dog to both Yoshi and the other dogs that he had in his care. Throughout the trip, he sent regular photo updates, and Nia was so happy: she had the biggest smile on her face, running around his yard, going zoomies with the other dogs. I intend to leave Nia in Tony's care in the future.
This is the first time we had Tony board our dog. He was everything.a "dog father" should be! He responds quickly and communicates well. His home is set up for dogs comfort. He clearly knows dogs well and gave us a sense of confidence. He was friendly with our dog who parted from us without anxiety--a good sign. Pics were great. We look forward to boarding again.

Schedule
I wake up early to let the dogs out, play and feed them. Taking a long lunch to take the dogs for walk or to the park during the day isn’t a problem. I’m home all day so I can keep an eye on them. Then play/walk in the evening and feed the dogs dinner.

I have a fenced in yard for my 6 year old Shiba to keep your dog company. Yoshi is neutered and all of his shots are up to date. He is very well socialized and doesn’t have a problem sharing toys/getting along with other dogs.

I live by a huge park with beautiful paths to walk the dogs on and there are two dog parks within ten minutes of my house. We also have lots of toys to play with inside and outside
