I am a self-employed musician. I am typically free unless I have an event. Those usually occur on Friday and Saturday evenings, with some sprinkled in on other days. I typically know weeks to well over a month in advance, which leaves my schedule very flexible. My days start at 8am and I am available until 8pm. If something works better with your pets routine, please let me know.

When I had a black lab named Angel, I would take her on two 30-60 minute walks a day (sometimes more), clean up after her, brush/bathe her when she needed it, trim her nails, apply topical flea and tick medicine, administer oral and eye medicine. I will give your pet(s) the highest level of care.

Before I care for your pet, I would like an overview of their daily routine, when they typically eat, any medications and when they are to be administered, allergies, that they have had their vaccinations. It is also important to know their temperament around people/other dogs/animals and if there are certain commands you use with them. I will likely have a few questions when we meet! Oh, and just in case, emergency contact information for you and your preferred veterinarian.
A typical day
I am happy to do the activities your pet enjoys and you are most comfortable with. I am an avid hiker and explore the Mill Mountain trails daily. If your dog doesn’t do well in rougher terrain or car rides (maybe because he/she is older) we could go on a walk or jog close to your home or on the Greenway. I’m great as a personal ball launcher. I am also happy to help with your dog learning basic commands and with being house trained.

Pet care experience
I have cared for dozens of animals throughout my life with various needs. I have a passion for all critters, wild or domesticated. I’ve taken care of them from the time they were little until the time came that they were getting ready to cross the rainbow bridge. I am very comfortable around dogs and have cared for rescues that needed my patience to relax and gain my trust, elderly dogs that need additional assistance, and animals thatI am also comfortable with cats in the same regard, but have not worked with rescues. My current pet is a guinea pig named ‘Guillermo’
