🐾 About Pippa, Ésú & Pawfolk Collective 🐾 About Me Hi! I’m Tirzah, though I go by Pippa. With over 10 years of dedicated pet-care experience, I’m fluent in what I lovingly call “animal language.” I pay close attention to body cues, energy, behavior, and individual boundaries so I can better understand each companion’s needs and respond with patience, care, and respect. One astonishing—and important—thing about me: I am a Deaf fairy 🧚✨. I connect with the world, and especially with animals, through deep observation, intuition, curiosity, and presence. My Deafness and life experiences have shaped me into a highly attentive, creative, and observant caregiver. I’m used to silence, and I find it grounding rather than limiting. After the loss of my beloved senior companion, Victor, in August 2025, continuing to care for other people’s companions has become a meaningful part of my healing journey. I carry his gentle spirit with me, reminding me to lead with compassion, patience, and wholehearted presence in every visit. ⸻ 🐾 Meet Ésú I often travel with my trusted companion and pet-care partner, Ésú. We are fellow wanderers, creative souls, and travel companions who enjoy exploring new places while building meaningful connections with the people and communities we meet. For longer house-sitting stays, Ésú may accompany me with the pet parent’s knowledge and permission. I believe transparency and trust are essential when someone welcomes us into their home, so you will always know in advance who will be present during a booking. I remain the primary sitter responsible for bookings made through my profile, communication, and following your pet’s care instructions. When Ésú joins me, your companions may also benefit from an additional familiar and caring presence. Whenever appropriate, we’re happy to meet you and your companions together before a stay so everyone can make sure it feels like a comfortable fit. 🐾💜 ⸻ 🌿 Welcome to Pawfolk Collective I am the founder of Pawfolk Collective, a new and growing pet-care community built around a simple belief: Pets, pet parents, and caregivers all deserve to find their folk. Pawfolk Collective is beginning with our own journey as traveling pet caregivers, with a long-term vision of creating a trusted community that connects compassionate pet sitters with pet families who value thoughtful, respectful, and personalized care. Right now, I am building Pawfolk Collective one relationship at a time. My goal is to eventually welcome other trusted pet caregivers into the collective, creating opportunities for people who love animals while helping pet parents find caregivers they can feel comfortable with. Care is adapted to their personality, energy level, routine, comfort, and needs rather than expecting every animal to fit the same approach. ⸻ 🌿 Special Skills & Services ✨ Pet-Friendly Walks & Adventures When appropriate for your companion, I enjoy discovering safe nearby walking routes and pet-friendly trails while respecting their comfort, training, energy level, and reactivity needs. ✨ Consistent Presence Because much of my work is remote and flexible, I can often spend significant time with companions during house-sitting stays. Please share how long your pet is comfortable being alone so we can discuss whether the booking is a good fit. ✨ Medication Support I have experience with oral medications and am comfortable following detailed care instructions carefully and consistently. ✨ Open, Reassuring Communication As a Deaf person, I communicate primarily through text and written communication, and I use accessibility tools such as Rylo when needed. I’m comfortable coordinating with hearing clients and will provide updates, messages, and photos so you can stay connected with your companions while you’re away. ✨ Cat Care I have experience with cats of many personalities and provide calm, respectful companionship on their terms—from interactive play to simply sharing quiet space. ✨ Curious & Adaptable I love learning about animals and people alike. Every companion is different, and I welcome detailed instructions, questions, and open communication. ⸻ 📍 Location & Travel Flexibility Washington, DC is our preferred service area, especially for house-sitting opportunities. We are also open to bookings throughout Maryland near Silver Spring and Northern Virginia near Arlington as long as the location is reasonably accessible by Metro and/or public transportation. For longer house-sitting stays, we may be able to travel farther depending on transportation, the length of the booking, and the needs of your companions. Because I work mostly remotely, I have flexibility that can allow for consistent companionship and presence during many house-sitting bookings. As travelers and the beginning of Pawfolk Collective, we hope to continue caring for companions and connecting with pet families in different places as our journey grows. 🐾🌎 ⸻ 🏡 Interested in House Sitting? If you’re looking for thoughtful and dependable in-home pet care, I’d love to learn more about your companions, their routines, and your home’s needs. For longer stays, Ésú may travel and stay with me only with your prior knowledge and permission. We believe you should always know who will be staying in your home. If Ésú would be joining a booking, we can discuss this before confirming the stay and, whenever possible, meet together beforehand. My approach to in-home care is rooted in safety, trust, routine, communication, and calm presence. The goal is to help your companions remain in the environment they know best while you’re away. ⸻ 🌸 My Approach to In-Home Pet Care ✨ Safety First I thoughtfully pay attention to the home environment and follow the pet parent’s instructions regarding doors, gates, windows, leashes, harnesses, feeding, medications, and other safety needs. For walks and outings, I follow each companion’s individual care plan. I do not assume that every dog wants to greet other dogs or people, and I respect reactivity, fear, boundaries, and comfort levels. ✨ Routine & Consistency I follow your companion’s established schedule for meals, walks, bathroom breaks, playtime, medication, and rest as closely as possible. Familiar routines can help create stability while their people are away. ✨ Gentle, Respectful Interaction I approach each companion with patience and attentiveness, allowing them to set the pace. I focus on calm interaction, observation, trust, and positive experiences. ✨ Clear Communication with Pet Parents You can expect regular written updates and photos based on the communication schedule we agree upon. If I notice a meaningful change in behavior, appetite, energy, or well-being, I will communicate with you. ✨ Familiar Comforts I help companions maintain access to the familiar things that make them feel at home—their favorite toys, bedding, resting spaces, routines, and comfort items. ✨ Enrichment & Engagement Activities are adapted to each companion. That might mean playtime, walks, enrichment activities, exploring the yard, or simply offering peaceful companionship. ✨ Attentive Care for Additional Needs I have experience following medication routines and caring for companions who may benefit from additional patience, observation, or a gentler pace. Please provide complete instructions and any important veterinary or emergency information before the booking begins. ⸻ 🌿 Service-Specific Care ✨ House Sitting / In-Home Pet Care I stay in your home to provide companionship and care in your companion’s familiar environment. If Ésú would accompany me, this will always be discussed and approved in advance. ✨ Dog Walking I offer mindful walks based on your dog’s routine, energy level, comfort, and safety needs. ✨ Cat Care I provide respectful, low-stress care, including feeding, fresh water, litter-box care, play, enrichment, and companionship while honoring each cat’s boundaries. ⸻ Caring for animals is more than a service to me—it’s a connection.
