I'm on sabbatical from corporate life and am at home full time relaxing, enjoying nature, and caring for my own dog Sharkie, a 8 year old 20 lb rat terrier. Since I'm with my dog nearly all day and he loves to socialize, I'd love to welcome up to 2 other dogs in my home for fun playdates, buddy walks, and snuggles. My schedule is flexible and can be customized to clients' needs. I generally only go out 1-2x per day to exercise and run the occasional errand. Otherwise, I'm at home focusing on the dogs.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a bright and spacious home where trained dogs are welcome to roam freely on the furniture, in the bedrooms, and on the two large very sunny patios (my dog loves to sun himself out there!). Adjacent to my home are a big green courtyard in the backyard, the incredible Bay Trail for beautiful scenic long walks, and Sea Cloud Park steps away. My home is tucked away in an extremely safe and non-congested corner of Foster City with plenty of trees, sunlight, and open space.

Information Tina W. would like to know about your pet

- Please confirm that your dog is house trained, spayed or neutered, up-to-date on flea medication and vaccinations, and will not mark, bite, or chew on household items. - Please let me know for how long they can be left alone, and how often they are taken out for bathroom breaks. - Please let me know any other special behaviors or needs we should account for for your pup!

A typical day

My general schedule is to give the doggos breakfast and take them on a nice long morning walk first thing in the morning. Around lunchtime and in the afternoon I provide a snack and take them out for a potty break. In the house, the doggos like to play with each other, cuddle with me on the couch, play with an assortment of toys, and sun themselves on the patio. In the evening, we'll do another long walk and/or visit the park and then have dinner. The walks will **always** be on leash with a harness on the Bay Trail and in Sea Cloud Park. We will also visit the Foster City Dog Park if parents are okay with that! After dinner, we have more cuddle and wind-down time and watch some dog-friendly TV (ha!). Right before bedtime, the doggos will have a quick last potty break so they can have a great night's sleep.

Pet care experience

I've been taking care of dogs for much of my life and I am the loving owner of my own 7 year old rat terrier mix, Sharkie, who was a foster fail from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. I volunteer regularly with the Humane Society and Pets In Need, either fostering or taking out shelter dogs for a fun day! Aside from rat terriers, I have experience with chihuahuas, doxxies, pitties, bischons, golden retrievers, doodle mixes, yorkies, basset hounds, and in general smaller breeds. House trained neutered and spayed dogs up to 40 lbs are likely to be the most comfortable in my home.

Tina was a wonderful host for our dog while we were away. She was so attentive to his needs and sent us lots of photos to check in. We felt very comfortable putting our dog in her care and would recommend Tina to others too!

Tina was professional and cared for Bruno as if he were her own. She even took him on a hike with her dog, Sharky. Bruno had a playmate and truly found a home away from home.

Tina took excellent care of my dog and gave helpful updates throughout my dog's stay with her. She spent a lot of time playing with my dog and also shared many cute photos. Tina was easy to communicate with and I would definitely board my dog with her again. Her dog Sharkie is also very cute and playful and got along wonderfully with my dog.

Tina is very responsive and keeps me updated on how my dog is doing. Her dog sharkie is very chill and gets along with my senior dog.
