Availability
I can walk or visit dogs in the morning or afternoon/evening during the week and can provide care and companionship up to midnight and from as early as 7:30 am if the owner is away. I could keep a small to medium sized dog at my home if well behaved. An overnight stay is considered and charged as 15 hours (6 pm in the evening until 9 am) the next morning).

Information Tina M. would like to know about your pet
Information about your pets temperament, usual routine, allergies, medications, conditions or recent unusual behaviour/signs of pain would be helpful in order to ensure that the your pet continues with a regular routine and also to ensure that any physical activity or environment is appropriate. For example, seizures can be triggered by psychological stress in epileptic dogs by simply being in a new environment away from the owner. Small breeds such as dachshunds or small toy breeds with any previous signs of a sore neck/back would be kept away from stairs or areas with uneven terrain.
A typical day
Luckily, Cambridge is full of commons and fields for exploration and the location or length of walk would very much depend on your pets breed and temperament. For example, a spaniel would likely love to explore local woodlands or to visit Grantchester Meadows but a pug might be more comfortable with a walk to a local park, surrounded by lots of people to socialise with and flatter terrain.

Veterinary Nurse & Wildlife Care
Pet care experience
I’m a PhD student and a qualified veterinary nurse (RCVS registered) living in Cambridge. I love being around animals. I currently don’t have any pets of my own, due to work/study commitments, so I really miss being around animals in the home environment. I have been working in veterinary referral hospitals for the past 7 years, mostly in neurology. I am very comfortable with dogs requiring slings/wheels for mobility or requiring bladder expression. I am also happy to visit dogs during the day in their homes and to administer all medications as necessary. I’m very comfortable dealing with pets post surgery, pets with mobility issues such as slipped discs and also with neurological conditions such as epilepsy. I am located in the city centre and able to care for pets within a 2 mile radius. All breeds, sizes and conditions accepted. I keep one dog at a time to maximise safety, making the environment perfect for dogs who need or just prefer extra time and attention in a safe environment. I have never cancelled a booking.

Reviews

Always reliable and super helpful

Tina was a fantastic host for Ludo’s 24 hour stay. He was very happy and relaxed. Tina sent us some lovely photos which were very reassuring. Would definitely use again.

Great thankyou, always reliable and helpful.

We can't say enough good things about Tina! She was an absolute lifesaver when we needed a last-minute sitter for our mini golden doodle, Gio, over the May Bank Holiday weekend. As Gio's parents, we'll admit we're a little "crazy" about him – he's definitely high-maintenance with his specific walking schedule, special feeding instructions, and grooming requirements. Tina handled everything flawlessly. She followed all of our detailed instructions to a T, and it was clear when we returned that Gio had been extremely well cared for and happy. It's such a relief to find someone so reliable and attentive. We're already hoping to book her again!
