I am very active with my dog and we often go hiking, visit dog parks, or just take sniffy walks around the neighborhood. We have taken a lot of positive reinforcement training classes together which range from manners, canifitness challenges, canicross, cooperative care (husbandry), to simply learning how to play with each other. I have also completed the Karen Pryor Academy dog trainer comprehensive class. I have experience with reactive dogs. I help my dog with big feelings everyday and use multiple positive reinforcement tools and pattern games so we can still enjoy our walks. I have experience administering many different types of medication and taking care of animals with chronic health conditions. I also have experience with special/limited diets. I have experience caring for multiple special needs animals at the same time, although currently I only have one dog. I have had dogs my entire life and other types of animals for most of that time as well. As a kid I helped my parents take care of our family dog Denny and then got my first dog at 12. I also had hamsters, a gerbil, and rabbits. As an adult I have kept cats as well as dogs.
