Fostering & saving dogs since 2017
My husband and I have 23 rescue dogs of our own... some lost their owners and some were "throw aways." Most are seniors with medical issues. Our oldest is 16 years young. We have fostered over 300+ dogs for the Kentucky Humane Society, Bullitt County animal shelter, and Animal Care Society. We received Volunteer of the year award from Kentucky Humane society for 2019! I love fostering mama dogs and their babies. We have helped 25 mama dogs welp their pups. Most of these mamas have come from bad situations. We also provided sitter services which we can provide references from if needed. We do keep up our yearly kennel license. Our back play yard area is fenced within our 4 acres of property for dogs to run and play. We have a doggie kennel room with three 4x8 kennels. This large room has security cameras for their safety, a television, comfy beds and large windows, so your pet can have their own area while they stay. My pets are kept separate from yours unless you would like some social interaction for your pet. I work from home, so weekday drop off times need to be before 9am or after 3pm. We do appreciate timely drop offs and pick ups, but can be flexible if notified.

Ratings and reviews
She's so nice and wonderful! Had a few late/change in time pickups and she was very cool about it so I'm very appreciative of her for that!

So kind and absolutely wonderful I'm sure Athena had a wonderful time would recommend to others for sure

I made a lot of changes to this booking and Tina was very accommodating. I know my dogs are always in good hands while I'm away.
Great communication

Canceled flight and delayed pick up was no problem for John and Tina. They are great!!
2 stars – Won’t use again, but partially on me My experience wasn’t great, though I’ll admit some of it was my fault. I made a last-minute plan to take my son on an overnight birthday trip and needed someone to watch our corgi, Willow. Our regular sitter didn’t respond quickly, so I reached out to a few others on Rover. Tina D replied first. Her reviews looked great, so I booked her—though I was a bit nervous using someone new. Shortly after booking, my original sitter got back to me. I tried to cancel with Tina, but she went unresponsive for a while, so I kept the booking. I scheduled pickup for 7–7:30 PM the next day, but it looked like we might arrive earlier. I gave her a heads-up about a possible 5:30 arrival, which she said was fine. Then my son wanted to stop and eat, so I updated her that we might be closer to the original time after all. She responded “okay”—but then 30 minutes later asked “Where are you? I have to be somewhere at 7.” Which confused me, since 7 was our scheduled pickup time. I told her we were 25 minutes away (around 6 PM) and asked her to please wait. She replied, “I guess I’ll just be late.” When we arrived, Tina and her husband were sitting in their running car in the garage with Willow on a leash, clearly impatient. When we got home, Willow smelled strongly of urine. I asked if she’d been crated too long—Tina said no, but mentioned that she lets senior dogs relieve themselves on the deck. I assume that’s where Willow got into something gross. I gave her a bath and she was fine, but still—not ideal. Bottom line: Tina might work well for others, but I won’t be using her again.

Schedule
I currently work from home. My husband is retired military and currently works at Ft Knox. All of our children are grown, so pet sitting fills our empty nest! We love the company! We prefer weekday drop off/pick ups before 9am or after 3pm. We shut down at 8pm.

A typical day
We live on a 4 acre farm. The immediate back yard is fenced in for pet safety. My dogs enjoy watching wildlife from the deck, playing in the ball pit, or playing fetch, or just chasing squirrels around the trees! We give 4 or more recess/ potty break throughout the day.
