Availability
We both work mostly from home and one of us is always here to take care of your dog. We go out regularly for walks and bathroom breaks and always make sure the dog is safe from other dogs and the environment. We get up early to get our son to school and that fits nicely with the first morning walk and bathroom break for our pet visitors. We like spending time outside both for exercise and with our son and always love to have a furry friend join us.

We have a lot of experience taking care of dogs in our home after two+ years of watching our neighbor's dog on a weekly basis and when they are on vacation. We have a very safe environment for animals, with comfortable dog beds, toys, and other equipment. We live in an apartment right next to one of DC's beautiful forests and with a dog park close by. Our philosophy with taking care of pets is to make sure the pet feels loved, comfortable, and safe by giving them attention and the care they need. We also are very committed to following any instructions or special needs your pet may have.

A typical day
I love to play with dogs, throw balls or frisbees with them, play tug of war with their favorite toy, or just let them sniff and walk in our nearby forest. We will go outside at regular intervals for potty breaks and for walks/playtime.

We look forward to welcoming your dog into our home for cuddles, and playtime! We're a pet-loving family of three looking forward to taking care of your beloved dog. We currently don't have a pet of our own and miss having one around. Tim grew up with dogs and cats (always two of each), looking after them from an early age and we've watched friends' pets for weeks at a time while they were away. We love to go for walks and jogs - long or short, depending on your dog's needs. One of us always works from home, so your pet will have company and affection throughout the day. Our neighborhood is quiet and pet friendly, steps away from Glover Archibald Trail and a dog park. Our son (currently 7) loves dogs and particularly adores cats. He is respectful around animals and we make sure they play well together. What we would like to know about your pet: Let us know about your pet! Any allergies, medical or other needs we need to be aware of? What schedule is your pet used to? How does your dog relate to other dogs and people of all ages?

Tim and Mirjam were very easy to coordinate with and took good care of our dog! We were in town visiting and had to attend an appointment that we couldn’t take our dog to, so we were lucky to find Tim and Mirjam. They watched our dog for about half a day and kept us updated and sent photos throughout that time. They were flexible and accommodating with the pick up and drop off times as well!
Tim has taken loving care of my adorable, perfect, spoiled labrador Shasta on at least a weekly basis for more than two years - from when he was an 8-week-old pup to an adult. Tim plays with, walks, runs, feeds and otherwise attends to Shasta, and keeps him healthy, happy, and safe! He has also cared for him overnight in his own home when I'm on vacation on nearly a dozen occassions, including incorporating Shasta into his family's Christmas celebration - and sends us photos of our happy pup each time. Tim also helped when Shasta had to go to an emergency vet visit and is attentive to any medical issues that comes up. He has a lot of experience with dogs, and it shows! My dog runs to him when we see him and often walks me to his apartment when we're out - so he co-signs this endorsement! We are *very* preoccupied with our pup, and trust him with Tim - couldn't recommend him more!
Tim and Mirjam have taken care of our senior dog Olive several times. They took excellent care of her and she loves it at their place. Olive is usually upset when she sees suitcases. But now, when we pull up in front of their place, she gets excited! She can't wait to hang out with her buddies, Tim and Mirjam!
