My days are free right now - I’m back from Kenya where I just launched a company. I was going to work for another rescue organization but thought this would be nice to do…you see, I used to use Rover when I had my dog(s) and I thought I could return the favor.

Safety, trust & environment

I have found that dogs love to explore - a walk to them is like reading the newspaper or watching a new Tik Tok video. It stimulates their mind as well as their body, making for a happier pet overall. This is why I would take my dogs everywhere with me throughout the day. They quickly learned (like my foster dogs) that we’re a “team” and that I watch out for them at all times. The trust this builds up is tangible. To see a confused dog (rescue) go from scared to confident in a few days is an amazing thing. Your dog, like mine, are part of your family. Leaving them isn’t an easy thing to do..I get that and strive to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Information Timothy G. would like to know about your pet

Let me know what triggers your dog might have. Also, do they like meeting other dogs or is that a no-go? How does your dog communicate with you? Vocally? With actions? Any destructive behaviors?

A typical day

Walk. Walk. Walk. Dogs love being outside ( when the weather cooperates). In the city or along Rock Creek Park, dogs love the different sites and smells. If your dog is well-behaved, a local dog park is in order. For overnights, I have a river property that dogs love.

Pet care experience

I have personally owned 2 ridgebacks and a blue Doberman. I have fostered Rottweilers, Pit bulls, Cane Corsos, Great Danes and many other head-strong or large sized dogs. I was part of the Giant Hearts, Giant Dogs Rescue team, so I am very experienced with handling difficult dogs so I’m sure I can easily work with and care for yours.

Tim and Mary were absolutely wonderful! Despite only giving short notice, they were very accommodating to my schedule. I received regular updates, to include pictures and videos, which put my mind at ease since I was out of the country. Tim also did some much needed training with my boy! Thank you for the excellent care you provided for Cedar 🙏
