I am currently working full time Monday through Thursday, so I am only available Friday through Sundays. For dog walking, I will have availability before 8 AM and after 7 PM on Monday through Thursday, along with all day Friday through Sunday.

I like to treat all pets as if they are my own. I want to make sure they feel safe and comfortable with a stranger coming into their house to take care of them. I love to play with them if they want or I am also fine with just hanging out if that is what they prefer. I make sure to respect and follow an owner's instructions for their pet, and I try to keep the pet's routine as normal as I can. I also feel comfortable administering medication and monitoring for any medical issues or emergencies and taking the appropriate steps needed.

I would like to know of any medical conditions, including food allergies or sensitivities. I like to incorporate treats during walks, so that information along with any diet preferences would be helpful. I would also like to know of any behavioral concerns such as reactivity towards other dogs, people, bikes, cars, etc., or if they are more on the nervous side and need some extra time to warm up to me. If your dog needs medications, it is helpful to know how they are currently administered and timing.
A typical day
I love to find new ways to enrich the dogs and cats I work with, so your pet will be included! This can range anywhere from new scents to explore, food enrichment games, to different training games for more mental stimulation. I love to take my dog to any of the metroparks, so I am open to taking new adventures with your furry friend! I am also all for cuddle sessions if your dog prefers human interactions over extra time outside.

Pet care experience
I have taken a special interest in all animals since I was young. So much so that I am now a registered veterinary technician. I spent five years working in a mixed animal practice where I helped take care of dogs, cats, and other large animals. I am currently working with dogs and cats in a behavior only clinic, so I do have experience with four legged friends who are more nervous and timid around strangers. I also help teach puppy classes, along with training adult dogs and cats. I have been a go to person for friends, family, and coworkers of they need someone to help take care of their fur baby while they are out of town.
