Information Tiffany H. would like to know about your pet
TLDR- Generally, the more I know about the dog/owner, the better I can adjust/adapt my actions and energy to perform in such a way that all parties to have an optimal experience. Below is a more detailed breakdown of what I think is important, and what that first conversation looks like. There are some baseline things that I think are important to know with every dog, such as relevant medical history (I.e.-injuries, allergies, current medications, etc.), daily/weekly routines, general or particular behavioral issues and/or reactivity to others (including any people, animals, or stimuli), overall personality, energy levels/limits, and training history/compliance. Additionally, I think it’s very important to know how much flexibility/spontaneity both the dog and the owner/family are comfortable with. In other words, I like to know how much agency/initiative the dog/owner/family is comfortable with me exercising in general. I can usually glean this from the owners expressed communication preferences/frequency. I’ll begin by asking the owner/family to let me know any general info they think I need to know. Then, I encourage them to elaborate and/or clarify when necessary. I gain a lot of insight from knowing what to expect on their dogs “worst“ day, or in a worst case scenario. Finally, I like to ask them to imagine their dog at their “best“, or on their “best” day, and elucidate on what their dog (and they) need/benefit most from in order to be at their “best”/happiest.
A typical day
I like to cater activities to each specific dog/owner. Some dogs need more consistency in their routine, and some owners have more particular needs/preferences, so I like to consult with the owner first. If the owner has no particular needs or preferences, and is open to new/different and/or spontaneous activities for their dog, I enjoy thinking of enjoyable and enriching activities specifically catered to the dog’s Personality, and relevant factors (I.e.-physical capabilities, energy level, openness to new experiences, and any time/location limitations) for each individual dog/family.

Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10, when we adopted a stray that was pregnant. Throughout Sweetie’s pregnancy, birthing, and weening, and our raising of her puppy Zorro, my mom taught me all about dogs, since her dad used to breed pugs and cavalier King Charles spaniels. Before Sweetie came to us, I had been wanting another dog, as our previous golden retriever, Jasmine, had been stolen. So, my mom bought me several books on all the different dog breeds, so I could educate myself on what to expect and what I wanted when we got our next dog. I learned so much throughout this time, and have only continued my education and experience with dogs. I love dogs so much that sometimes it feels like my heart is going to explode out of my chest. Every dog I meet, no matter how old, will always be a puppy to me. I sometimes think that the closest we will ever get to experiencing a physical manifestation of the love of God, is the love dogs have for us.
Reviews

Outstanding sitter. Communicative, attentive and very obviously caring. Will most definitely have Tiffany back ❤️

Tiffany went above and beyond for our baby! Followed all instructions perfectly. She was super communicative and checked in on our kitty more times than we asked her to. She even swept up the hair that had collected on the floor while we were gone! I would 100% book her again.

We are very grateful that Tiffany was able to take care of our 2 cats over the Christmas holiday and on semi-short notice too. She kept in touch frequently, sent pictures, kept the litter clean, and when it was running low was willing to go on a re-fill run. The apartment was absolutely beautiful when we got back from a long trip and we didn’t have to worry about cleaning up, we really appreciated that, a lot. Cosmo and Wanda loved having a friend while we were away, so we will most definitely be booking again. Thank you Tiffany!

I am so grateful that we found Tiffany!!!! She took care of our potbellied pig and chickens for a week over Christmas, in a snow storm, and made sure that everyone was well cared for. She reported on each visit, sent pictures, asked questions when necessary, even offered to clean the floor before we got home, and overall went above and beyond. Tiffany is lovely and trustworthy. I will absolutely be using her on the regular with our little farm and pups! Thank you Tiffany!!!
