Hello!! Nice to meet you!! I have worked and volunteered with dogs, cats and small animals at local shelters for several years and have learned a lot and gained experience working with dogs of all sizes, backgrounds, personality and cats of all personalities as well as small animals! Working in the shelter Has provided me the opportunity to understand and learn to work with so many personality types with animals and I’ve learned not every animal responds the same or learns the same just like humans. Some dogs need time and patience and some dogs need to run and exercise their minds too. Same with cats. If your pet has a specific plan to follow I understand how important that is. I know how important body language is with each dog and cat and how it’s important to see, read and understand them and how our response is important and sometimes crucial. I take my safety seriously as well and take steps to setup myself and animals for success and minimize issues. My personal dog is a senior (13!) and has special needs since he was 6 as he had been diagnosed with DDD 7 years ago and was diagnosed with canine cognitive disorder April/May 2022. With regular vet visits and adjustments in my home and his medication I make sure he’s as comfortable as possible. I am also very plant based but live a mostly vegetarian lifestyle. And I believe in rights for all life forms and choose kindness. I’m a little quirky super, silly and have a big heart. I spend the majority of my time as mom to an animal loving 7 year old:) I have a flexible schedule and am around during the week to help around the BArrington and surrounding Area. I am not available between 2:30-3:30 for school pick up. I am respectful of the needs/boundaries to others and pay attention to detail. I am interactive with pets and take the time needed for their safety, health and comfort.
