I am available full time for pet sitting and do not leave for periods of longer than 4 hours. In addition to pet and house sitting I run a concierge service where I help people with various projects and never schedule long days.

I do not have any restrictions of breeds; but would prefer not to accept very aggressive animals. Please just let me know of any behavior issues, medical needs and anything that can make the time spent with them enjoyable and fun! I only offer one hour drop in visits to make sure that your pets and home receive the level of care it should.
A typical day
Walking/hiking, watching tv, treats, pets play time with toys and balls, swimming, cuddling, car rides and extra TLC. Did i mention it’s like getting spoiled by grandma?

With a degree in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee and 25 years of pet sitting experience—including work as a veterinary technician and barn manager. I bring both expertise and deep compassion to every animal I care for. I’ve looked after dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, mules, llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, cows, chickens, turkeys, and emus. I treat each pet as if they were my own. I’m currently available full time and actively taking on new clients. Whether your pet is high-energy, shy, or has special needs, I tailor my care to meet their individual personality and requirements. If your dog loves the outdoors, I’m happy to include hiking or swimming in their routine—activities I enjoy regularly with my own dog. I began pet sitting at age 12 and have built a life and business around what I love most: caring for animals. As a self-employed professional, I understand the value of trust. I always leave your home cleaner than I found it and gladly handle extra tasks like watering plants, bringing in mail, and taking out the trash. My goal is simple: to give your pets the attention, safety, and joy they deserve while giving you peace of mind. Let’s chat—I’d love to meet your furry, hoofed or feathered family!

Thyra house sat my 150 pound German Shepherd and my 6 pound gray tiger cat for me for a week. My pets and my home have never been so well cared for . She sent me updates and photos twice daily so I felt as Comfortable as they did! My Shep is extremely reactive and on a number of meditations. She handled both his behavior and his treatments like the professional she is…and he loves her . Even my shy, skittish cat loves her! My furry kids fell in love with her. When I returned home both they and my home were in such great condition! I am so grateful to know Thyra and we are all looking forward to having her with us for a very long time!

Thyra was great - from the minute she stopped by for an introduction, she instantly connected with our girls (which isn't always an easy thing to do). She definitely understood how to relate well to them, and I felt completely at ease leaving her in our home with them for 5 days. On our 4th day away, I realized I had forgotten to tell Thyra to scoop the litter box on day 3....to which she replied she'd already been doing it every day since we left! What a relief. We came home to a clean home, clean sheets on the bed (amazing!!!), and happy pets. What more could you ask for? We'd definitely hire Thyra again. 👍
