Information Thomas Rooney B. would like to know about your pet

It is very important to know about details about a dog ahead of time because of many reasons. You need to know their temperaments and personalities. If they are comfortable being around other dogs is very important. You don’t want to put a dog in a uncomfortable situation and have it feeling cornered and act out because of it. You also need to know about any veterinary records or special needs of a dog as well. This will you keep it safe and healthy when in your care. The last reason would be for the sitters reasoning. It’s good to know about a dog ahead of time to ensure you can handle them. If the sitter has dogs of their own you don’t want to have a large breed with a toy breed playing unsupervised. Also having male and female unfixed dogs around each other without the owners knowing about that. I personally have a husky and I did a lot of research before deciding to get my fur baby. I knew I wanted a dog with a lot of personality and great companionship. When you get a husky you get a lot of other things with the breed that some owners would not want in a dog. For example, high energy, stubborn, a lot of shedding, sassy, and they can be destructive if they’re left alone without proper training. So doing your research ahead of time about a dog is of thee upmost importance.

A typical day

When I watch dogs we go on walks (depending on how many I am watching). If there is a lot of dogs then we will play in the fenced in back yard. We have ropes and balls to play fetch. Some good places to go on walks are meadowbrook park. There’s a nature walking path there. Or other local trails, as long as the dog can handle the distance, and has flea/tick preventative.

Pet care experience

I have years of experience working with dogs of all sizes. I have a husky at home that is full of energy. We average around 2 miles daily. She is 8 years old and loves to play with other dogs. I work with her every day. I can work on basic obedience training but I am not a certified or professional dog trainer. I just bought my house in Joliet and can’t wait to get it ready for business. I currently work as a machinist in Romeoville Monday through Friday. On the weekends I am available for dogs. My girlfriend Camille is always going to be available for care. She works a different schedule, so one of us will be available for the dogs at most times. She has 5+ years of dog ownership and a lifetime of loving animals. We operate as a team and always love to have extra dogs around.

Really came through for me when I needed a sitter last minute. Kept me really well updated with pics and videos of my dog while in his care. My dog and his dog have gotten along great, really kept him entertained!

Thomas is the best dog owner I know! From frequent walks, trips to the dog park, and special treats, he is an extremely dedicated pet owner and always makes his dog a huge priority in his life. He treats every animal he encounters with this amount of compassion!
