Availability
I currently work part-time as an online tutor, which makes my schedule super flexible for house sitting, dog walking, or dropping in for a playdate. I have a couple of weekly obligations that I need to be out of the house for (Monday and Thursday nights), but each of those is only for 3 or 4 hours at the most. Unfortunately, the cat that lives in my house is ornery, so I can't board pets at home.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a cat at my house that won't allow for other pets to be boarded at home, but I am happy to housesit if that is amenable. When housesitting for my friends and family who have pets, I typically walk a dog 3 times a day, play fetch (if that's something the dog likes), and feed them according to whatever schedule their owners keep to. I'm very flexible in terms of sleeping arrangements if it's a multi-day stay; crate, dog bed, or in bed with me are all fine with me! If you require any special accommodations, just let me know and I'm happy to oblige!
Information Thomas P. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog prefers to be around other dogs at playtime, or if they are more accustomed to just 1 on 1 time.
A typical day
I am a huge fan of trail walking--both on my own and with a dog--so my favorite activity with the dogs I take care of is taking them on a nice long walk through the woods. In Chapel Hill, I especially like Battle Park and the trails through the woods near Southern Village. In Durham, my favorite place to bring dogs is the trails near the Eno River.

Pets
I love dogs, cats, and all pets!
Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs starting when I was 6 years old, and for the past 10 years I've been dog and cat sitting for friends and family at least once every few months. Playing with dogs is one of my very favorite activities, and I'm also an avid trail walker (and a dog added to that equation only makes it better!).
Reviews

Always appreciate the help!
I was pleased Thomas was able to do a drop in for Maggie on 7/11. I will be requesting his services more.

Thomas was great with our large dog and shy cat. House was pristine when we returned with mail on the counter. We will definitely count on Thomas in the future.

Thomas tended beautifully to our 2 dogs, 7 ducks, songbirds and hummingbirds while we were gone! He was easy to work with, thoughtful about medications, communicative, happy to do some extras (like spreading smelly dear repellent!) and the dogs seemed to enjoy his company. And, he left the house in good shape. We’ll call on him again!
