Hi, I’m Tom. I offer home-from-home dog boarding in Derby, providing a safe, comfortable environment where dogs receive plenty of exercise, attention and companionship throughout their stay. Having grown up with dogs, cats, rabbits and gerbils, caring for animals has always been a part of my life. Since moving to Derby for work, I’ve missed having dogs around and now enjoy welcoming them into my home and treating them as part of the family while their owners are away. I lead an active lifestyle and enjoy running, hiking and exploring Derbyshire and local National Trust sites. Whether your dog loves long countryside walks or prefers a more relaxed routine, I’ll tailor their care to suit their individual needs. I also provide daily photo updates, and for active dogs I’m happy to share GPS-tracked walks so you can see exactly where we’ve been and how much exercise they’ve enjoyed. I work full-time in a flexible role, with a mixture of office and home working. When I have boarding dogs staying, I am usually able to work from home, allowing me to provide plenty of company, supervision and attention throughout the day. My partner, Eloise, also loves animals and helps provide additional care and companionship. I understand that leaving your dog with someone new can be daunting, so I focus on providing regular updates, clear communication and a genuine home-from-home experience. My aim is for both you and your dog to feel completely comfortable and confident while you’re apart. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member.

Could not recommend more! We were getting married near where Tom lives and he looked after Oscar for the weekend. He was also kind enough to bring Oscar to our wedding venue on the day for some pictures. He was so amazing with Oscar, took him on plenty of walks and also tracked all the walks so we could see :) Would recommend to anyone! Thanks Tom :)
It's clear to see Thomas really cares about animals. He did a fantastic job looking after Raffy & Bailey for 3 days while we were away. He was a pleasure from the meet & greet up until I collected our boys after their stay. We had lots of updates on what they got up to each day, with walks recorded and shared via Strava. I'll 100% be using Thomas again next time were away and can't take Raffy & Bailey with us.
Tom was brilliant. He sends regular updates and records all the dog walks on Strava and sends you a link so you can see where they’ve been. Snoop was happy and I would 100% recommend his service.
Tom saved me a lot of bother when I was at an event and Jolly wasn't allowed! Met me at the station, spent the whole day with Jolly, took him on a long walk, and met me outside the hotel to drop him off. Couldn't have been better. Next time I'm in Derby, expect another booking if you're free! Thanks again :)
We needed last cover for Rhubarb and Thomas was available, he was friendly and easy to communicate with to arrange the cover. He kept us updated with how she was doing overnight with pictures of their walk and her at his house. Very good experience and will definitely use Thomas again if we need to!

Schedule
I go for a walk every morning, every lunch time and every evening already so I plan that I will just take your pets along with me. Ordinarily, in the morning and lunch time I will visit the parks local to me and then in the evening I will venture further afield, often going to Darley park, Markeaton park, Calke Abbey and Kedleston hall as I am a national trust member. I am used to caring for animals with regards to feeding routines and am usually up around 5:30am until 10pm so can cater to any specific schedules.

I absolutely love animals and will give them lots of fuss and affection. I will provide daily updates and photos so that you can keep up with how they are doing whilst you enjoy your well deserved time off! I will also bathe them free of charge should they get muddy or wet on any of our walks and provide lots of free treats
A typical day
Whilst looking after your dogs we will be certain to give them lots of attention, playing games, going for long walks and runs and - of course, having plenty of cuddles on the sofa.
