Safety, trust & environment
We are dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for your dogs in our home. They are free to relax and roam as they please, and we happily allow them to nap on the couches to ensure they feel at ease. For added comfort, we recommend bringing their blanket or bed, as this often helps them settle more easily at night. If you prefer, I am also available to come to your home to walk your dogs, ensuring they are cared for in their familiar surroundings. Your dog’s safety and well-being are always our top priorities, and we strive to build trust through attentive, personalized care.

Information Thomas A. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know in advance if your dog has any special needs. The more details you can provide, the better I can prepare our home to ensure their comfort and care. Understanding their sleeping habits and eating schedules will also help me provide a seamless and stress-free experience for them. I have experience with pets requiring extra attention, including administering daily insulin injections for our former diabetic cat. Additionally, my older German Shorthaired Pointer lived to the remarkable age of 16.5 years, giving me valuable knowledge and compassion for caring for senior dogs in their golden years. Your furry family member’s well-being will always be my top priority.
A typical day
We start the day early by feeding our furry house guests and ensuring they have plenty of “potty breaks” throughout the day. With our spacious backyard, they have plenty of room to run and play. A typical day includes at least one or two walks to the nearby lakes or a visit to the off-leash dog park. For extra fun, we also have access to a large field adjacent to a fenced off-leash area, with separate spaces for small and large dogs. During the day, the dogs can enjoy playtime in the backyard, where I often throw a ball for them—Zoey’s absolute favorite game! To create a soothing atmosphere, calming music usually plays on the living room TV, providing a relaxing backdrop for their nap times on the couch or their own dog beds. Your dog will enjoy a balance of exercise, stimulation, and plenty of rest in a safe and comfortable environment.

Experienced Dog-Lover with patience
Pet care experience
I’m a semi-retired engineer running my own business from home, giving me plenty of time to care for animals. My lifelong passion for pets began with my parents, who introduced me to a variety of animals. I’ve since developed skills to care for and train my dogs with patience and love. My wife and I have also fostered dogs for SCARS, and our 5-year-old Labrador, Zoey, is a “foster-fail” who loves hosting furry friends. We work from home most of the time, ensuring that our dogs are never alone. Our home features a spacious fenced backyard, and we’re just five minutes from an off-leash park. Your dog will receive plenty of exercise, including two walks a day. While Zoey isn’t crated, I’m happy to follow your preferences if you provide a crate. Feel free to arrange a "meet-and-greet" to get to know Zoey and me before booking. It would be my pleasure to care for your furry family members!
Reviews

It was my experience with Rover and with dog sitting. I can’t say enough positive things about Thomas . From the beginning to the end of my dog’s stay, he was friendly, open, welcoming and caring. I felt that Chloe was in good hands as son as we had our meet and greet. Thomas was accommodating, shared multiple updates and kept me in the loop on top of keeping Chloe active and safe! Did I mention that his own dog was also great? Highly recommended , would definitely be relying on Thomas when needed again.

The best sitter around!

As always, Thomas went above and beyond to take care of Meatball. This was an extended stay and we got timely updates and photos so that we weren't worried about our dog at all and could enjoy our vacation. Meatball came back clean, happy, and tired after playing with Thomas and Zoey for 2 weeks!

Always my go to with my dog!
