As an actor, my work can be sporadic. During term time I am at drama school, but in the holidays I'm free as a bird. My partner works in the same industry too so one of us are usually home. Getting out and about for walks can be something I can de-prioritise, but having a friendly dog around, means that I'm always motivated to go out, walk and play.

Having grown up with dogs throughout my life, I have often been told I treat them like siblings as opposed to pets. I like to talk out loud to dogs so they can understand what I am doing around the house or as we are preparing to leave. They are more than welcome on my bed or sofa (so long as the owner is okay with that). I think I am fairly intuitive and observant around dogs and I was even the first to spot an issue with my family dogs knee, which meant he could get it seen to before it deteriorated! Generally, I try to look after 1 dog at a time (unless they are from the same household), so they can get my full attention.

Please let me know if there is anything I should know about your dog. For example, do they have any quirks, do they take medicine and when does it need to be administered, are there activities they prefer, and are there activities I should avoid.

I am more than happy to take dogs on lengthy walks, incorporate lots of play time and even provide them with a soothing doggy massage!

From long walks to cuddles, I love spending time with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have looked after puppies and senior dogs over the last 20 years and my friends and family often call on me when they go on holiday to cover pet care. Being around dogs is a joy for me. For dogs that enjoy it, I'm happy to give them a careful brush! I have looked after healthy dogs, as well as those who need extra assistance and even some who are post surgery. If they are a little fussy with food - I'm happy to hand feed!

Edie was with Thissy and Sam for 4 nights. Longest she’s been away from me and it’s so nice knowing Edie is in good hands 🙌
Edie had her first overnight stay ever with Thissy. She was super relax and at home at Thissy’s when I picked her up. Thissy was so accommodating of Edie and I always know she’s in good hands with her 💕
