I've always grown up with dogs, and I’ve taken care of various breeds, sizes, and energy levels since 2012. Whether your dog is playful or loves a good nap in the sun, my friendly Lab mix, Moxie, and I are happy to accommodate. We've taken dogs along with us to Rosie's Dog Beach, dog parks, hikes, and restaurant patios. I also have experience taking care of cats in people’s homes. BOARDING & DAYCARE I ask that dogs staying at my place for boarding or daycare meet the following criteria: - Doesn't engage in destructive chewing or scratching whether I'm at home or leave for a few hours. Happy to discuss further if they’re crate-trained. - Fully potty trained. - Minimal barking, especially when I leave the house, as I want to avoid disrupting my neighbors. Let me know if your dog is afraid of noises like smoke alarms, fireworks, and car alarms. - Doesn't have separation anxiety and is comfortable being alone at home (with Moxie!) for reasonable periods. - Minimal pulling on leash. Let me know if they tend to pull or bark at mail carriers, dogs, cats, or squirrels, get spooked by skateboards or motorcycles, or try to eat trash/food on the ground. - Responds to their name and basic commands especially during walks and when they're in the yard. HOUSESITTING For housesitting gigs, I bring Moxie along for the adventure. We'll be respectful of your space and follow the house rules. If you have a cat, she gets along great with them. Here are a few things to keep in mind: - Having a yard for playtime and potty breaks would be ideal. If that's not possible, consider boarding your pup at my place with its fenced-in yard. - I completely understand the use of security cameras, but appreciate knowing their locations in advance. - A clean and tidy home, similar to how you'd prepare for a house guest.

Schedule
Since I work remotely, I'm often home and will ensure your dog gets all the love and attention they deserve. At the meet & greet, we'll discuss your dog’s routine and habits to create a comfortable and fun stay. It’s basically a shared yard, doors open type of vibe with the gate fully latched and fence going around the whole property. So it’s super fun for pups.

Boarding & Daycare at My Home: Moxie and I live in a detached ADU with a secure, enclosed area for playtime and exercise. Your dog is welcome to relax on my couch or bed, share toys and treats with Moxie, or hang out in the fully fenced-in yard, whether that's playing with her or chilling in the sun. My landlord who lives in the main house in front of me is also the property owner, and he has playful three-legged dog who is silly and full of energy. But he also just loves chilling with his dad in their house. Housesitting at Your Home: When caring for your dog in your home, I follow the routine you establish. This includes walks, playtime, feeding schedule, and anything else they need to feel comfortable.

A typical day
We'll go for walks in the morning and evening, but I'm also happy to go on a little adventure. Whether it’s going to a dog beach, hiking trails, dog parks, restaurant patios, or even tagging along on errands, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I'm an outdoor enthusiast and love discovering dog-friendly spots. And if they know any tricks, feel free to let me know. EXTRA CHARGES - Daycare Beyond 10 Hours: Daycare is considered 8-10 hours. For longer daycare needs beyond 10 hours, an additional $12 per hour will be added. - Transportation: Pick-up and drop-off fees are $25 base up to 5 miles one way, and then $3 per mile thereafter. There is an additional $10 rush hour / holiday surcharge, which is on a case-by-case basis. This will be discussed with the client and finalized before taking place, to avoid any unexpected fees.

Do you crate them when you leave the house? - Do they bark excessively when left at home, meeting or playing with other dogs, or when people approach the door? - Do they have any medical conditions, allergies, or require any medications that I should be aware of?
