Dogs are intelligent and responsive creatures who thrive under the motherly, nurturing care I provide. I run my own business from home and my artist studio, which allows me lots of special time with dogs. I consider myself a natural with dogs, and my daughters share the same bond. Our family has a special way with dogs, and they always seem to adore us. While I am the one that often hold the treats, I especially enjoy teaching dogs new skills and tricks! I’ve had a lifelong love for dogs and can’t imagine being without one. My current companion is Rocky, a Chihuahua I fostered for a week after he was found shivering in a parking lot. He was too tiny to survive a stay in an animal control cage, and I couldn’t resist bringing him home. He quickly captured my heart, and now he’s my loyal companion. He’s great with nervous dogs and puppies, and everyone—both humans and dogs—love him! I’m an energetic person who enjoys hiking with dogs of all sizes. I’m firm but fair when it comes to dog behavior because I want everyone to have a good time. I can tell when a dog needs to get to work or get a little more affection, exercise or relaxation, food or water, or simply some quiet time. I reward good behavior with treats, which I often make myself. I offer free meet-and-greets and would be happy to schedule one before your booking. I have a Chihuahua and often will have one or the other of my daughter's pitbulls. Both are well behaved and non reactive, friendly and loving pups. Both are well trained and we watch for only the best behaviors. Other dogs will learn from them by just being around them, a really wonderful benefit.

Theresa was great with my tiny puppy (14 weeks)! I came home to a very happy and calm pup who had clearly had a wonderful afternoon. Theresa is a real pro - I’m new to this, and she was extremely helpful explaining potty training and leash weights.
Theresa was amazing with our two puppies keeping them active and engaged regardless of the weather. We came home to happy dogs!
We came back to happy dogs, who seemed very well taken care of. Theresa communicated clearly as to when she arrived and departed and sent pictures to allow us to see happy playful puppies. Our house was left in the same condition we left it as if she wasn’t here 😀. We are looking forward to having Theresa spend time with our dogs again.
Theresa is the best! She provides highly individualized care and is so kind and easy to work with/ communicate with. She is very observant and competent with dog behavior and is the perfect match for our sweet energetic 11 year old boxer mix!
Theresa is an outstanding dog sitter! I was able to relax on my vacation knowing that my special girl was in great hands. My dog tested positive for Giardia while I was away. Theresa picked up my dog’s meds, administered them, and carefully watched her. By the time I arrived home, my dog was all better! You won’t find a better sitter!
Theresa took fantastic care of our two pups (on relatively short notice) when we were unable to get accommodations lined up at our normal boarding facility. She was communicative, courteous, and the dogs instantly took to her, which allowed us to relax while out of town for a 5-day stretch. She went out of her way to make sure they were able to stick to their normal routine, received lots of love and had ample outside time throughout the week. And she took immaculate care of our home - Theresa went above and beyond in every sense of the word. We will definitely be using her services again!

Schedule
I have a flexible with my time, I have a fenced in area and safety is my main concern. While I encourage owners to find places to do off leash training, I am never going to take a clients dog off leash, just to be safe. I do take client’s dogs to dog parks that I feel are of the best quality and involve well-behaved dogs. There are some dogs that just need some social time with other dogs and can really benefit with making new friends with a professional watching for any kind of aggressive behavior or becoming more anxious. Knowing when is the right time to leave is as important as knowing how to enter the park.

- I need to know if your dog is not house trained. This seems to be the biggest issue that I’ve had so far. I like to know their personality traits as much as possible. If your dog is extremely anxious, I can work with them to give them a sense of calm. I will continue with any words or training that you have in place, consistency is very important. I have trained a variety of different dogs. I find the work to be rewarding and the dogs do too!
