Theresa can care for
Availability
I'm a digital nomad with mostly flexible work hours, and rarely need to leave for more than a few hours in a day, so I will be able to spend a lot of time with your fur babies. During the day I am available for walks and drop ins, and I will of course walk dogs that I am sitting. I'm a natural night owl, so if your pets will sleep in, I love it, but if not I will get up to feed them, let them out, walk them, or whatever they need, then take a nap later.

Safety, trust & environment
I am a cuddler. If your pet isn't allowed on the furniture, I'll happily get down on the floor to play or snuggle during a sit or drop in visit. I can also be very patient. I have a track record of shy or grumpy cats coming out snuggle with me, even when they "never do that." I walk for one client at a time so that I can pay attention to the dog(s) under my care. For dogs over 40 lbs, I have a strong preference for a nose leader or prong collar, as these communicate more specific information to the dog than even the best harness. Better communication keeps both the dogs and me safer during a walk.
Information Theresa B. would like to know about your pet
What commands does your dog know? I find that we build a relationship faster if the dog understands that I know the magic words, and will reward them for good behavior, so knowing what treats I can give your dog (or cat) is great too.
A typical day
I will wear out your dog with fetch or tug-o-war, then give them lots of affection if they're the cuddling type. Just let me know if they're allowed on the furniture so I know whether I need to get down on the floor with them or snuggle them on the couch.

Pet care experience
NOTE: I have recently changed my prices. While my base price has gone up, my additional pet prices have gone down, and three or more pets will now be cheaper than my previous pricing. I love all kinds of pets. My parents have had German Shepherds since I was six years old, so I am very comfortable with large dogs. One of my favorite things was training a dog to take treats without using his teeth at all, which matters a lot when the dog's jaw is longer than my hand! I have taken care of our family dogs at all stages of life from puppyhood to senior and end of life care. I have also provided care of a variety of dogs from Great Danes to Chihuahuas and French Bulldogs to Bernedoodles, all kinds of cats, guinea pigs, fish, and a snake. I am Red Cross certified for Cat and Dog First Aid and CPR.

Reviews

Theresa stayed with my two Labs and did a fabulous job. She was dependable, helpful, easy to work with, and made me feel well-supported. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Theresa was communicative, clearly got along with our dog Iggy well, and left our house in great shape. Will happily work with her again.

Theresa was available on short notice and saved us. She was immediately accepted by our shy and anxious kitties and we appreciate her attention to detail!

Always excellent! Able to fill in for us on short notice. Responsible and friendly.
