I've been around dogs my whole life, and my own dog Sammy loves meeting new ones. She's social with just about every type of dog, and her favorite park companions are shepherd breeds and high-energy pups who can keep up with her. Large dogs are no problem for me — I'm comfortable handling two or three 90-pounders at once, and Sammy holds her own right alongside them. To be upfront: I don't have much experience with young puppies or dogs with health issues. What I can promise is that I'm reliable with medication — if your dog is on a schedule, I'll stick to it.

Schedule
I am currently working from home and pretty much only leave to go to the gym or out to dinner. When I go out it's usually to a park and I bring Sammy with me.

We have a dog door and large fenced in backyard. The fence is tall and inescapable by any dog bigger than 10lbs (a very small dog might be able to slip through). There are lots of toys outside and Sammy shares them.

A typical day
The dog park is the main event. Sammy and I are regulars, and she's a great icebreaker for dogs who are a little unsure at first. If your dog is more of a one-on-one type, that's fine too — we'll do a longer walk or play in the yard instead of throwing them into a crowd.
