I'm a Veterinary student who just took her board exam and waiting for my results to be able to practice, former vet tech, plus I have a bachelors degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida. Been working with animals since 2009 and have great references. I have a fur child of my own named Leo, he's a 2 year old golden retriever. My passions for animals dates back to when I was child, and working in this field has reassured me that this is something I truly love doing. Also took a grooming course, so I can perform baths, nail trims, and express anal glands. I can provide dog walking, drop in visits and dog sitting in your own home so that you feel more confortable leaving your pet in their own surroundings. Be reassured that your fur kids will be well taken care of and in loving hands. I hope to meet you and your fur children soon.

I like to follow your daily routine that you have established with your pet. I feel like it important to keep your routine while you are away so that your pet can be as comfortable as possible. For example my own pet gets fed at 6am and requiere to be let out at 5:45am prior (and doesn't understand the concept of day light savings haha).

First time using Rover, super nervous to leave my dog with someone I didn’t know in my hotel but felt it was a better option over doggy daycare! I choose Thanya because of her current work history working with animals as a vet tech! I felt my dog would be safe in her hands with her additional knowledge in her field of work! She made the entire process so easy, she did a meet and greet which she does not have to do which was KEY to meet us, our dog and see the location of where she needs to go vs just showing up the day we needed her. She was very friendly, flexible and on time! She took the trash out which was not asked of her and cleaned up after herself. I know my dog liked her because day 2 he didn’t bark at her when she walked in the door she had gained his trust! She followed eveything asked of her in regards to spuds needs, schedule and my little extra crazy about germs with shoes off in the hotel and washing her hands every time she walked the dog and returned back to the apartment hotel. Highly recommend, we will be using her again the next time we come to Florida and sending her info to friends and family. She is Mahoney & Spud Approved! Worth every penny! Took the best pictures of my dog too one I actually plan to frame when I get home! 🐾
Tanya is absolutely the best dog and cat sitter we could ask for! She takes wonderful care of our pets, giving us complete peace of mind whenever we’re away. Our animals are always happy, well cared for, and comfortable in her hands. What really sets Tanya apart is that she goes above and beyond. Not only does she care for our pets, but she also helps with household tasks like picking up pet waste, taking our trash and recycling cans out to the curb, and bringing them back afterward. Those extra touches make such a difference and show how thoughtful and dependable she is. Thanya is reliable, caring, and incredibly helpful. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter who truly treats your home and pets as if they were her own.
Thanya was a fantastic housesitter and we would be happy to have her back at any point in the future. Our large dog and two cats were well cared for and completely chilled out and happy when we got back home. Thanya kept us in the loop with plenty of updates and made sure to communicate with any questions/details we forgot in our initial meet and greet. Thanya took great care of Tuco and the house. She is very responsive and sent updates twice a day. With her knowledge and experience with animals I felt very comfortable leaving Tuco in her care.
Thanya was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of Molly and sent lots of pictures / updates. She also noticed an issue with my dog that led me to make vet appointment and now Molly is on the path to healing. I highly recommend Thanya and hope to use her again.
