At this current moment in time my family’s household has many pets. In our home we have an axolotl, 2 bearded dragons, and 5 dogs; two of which are puppies, aged 7 months and 2 years old. With this experience I am quite comfortable working with high-energy dogs and other kinds of pets. The daily routine centers around animal care for our animals. Often times this includes feeding, playing, going outside, wiping their paws when its muddy out, and giving them a bath when it’s necessary. Yes, my bearded dragon loves baths too! We keep an eye on the dogs for most of the day, and take care of anything they might need. This includes picking up the yard for me and my brother. Of the household’s five dogs, my dog is Athena. This means she is my responsibility. Athena is a blue-nosed pit bull; She loves when we go on walks, usually 3 times a week. My father has even created a custom leather belt leash system. I prefer to use this when working with dogs, and Athena loves it on our hikes. Athena and I cuddle often, especially when it’s bedtime and she’s sleeping with me.

We have five dogs in my family. Every morning we all take turns being responsible for them. Letting them out to go potty, feeding them, making sure their water dish is full. In the wet season, we have to wipe paws, thoroughly before letting them in the house. Sometimes, a bath is required too. They all do well with baths. Of course, my brother and I are responsible for cleaning up the yard. I take Athena (my blue-nose pitty) on walks a few times a week using a harness my dad made to make them easier and more comfortable. Sometimes she even gets to go hiking with me. She is my cuddle bug and sleeps with me at night. I also play with our puppies 7 months and 2 years.
Information Tessie O. would like to know about your pet
I would love to be able to provide the same care for your pets! Let’s discuss details. When it comes to the question “What do you need to know about my dog?” my answer is as follows. First, what do you need me to know about your dog? Is there any medicine or supplements your dog takes regularly? How trained are they? Does your pet get along with other dogs, will they share toys? What kind of mood should I expect your dog to be in at home and around other dogs or people? I always look out for separation anxiety while you are away. How often do they eat? Let’s talk about their serving size and any special feeding routines. What kind of treats do they get and how do they earn them? Whatever your dog needs please let me know ahead of time. Finally, I would like to request emergency vet information and details for a local contact should I be unable to reach you. Legible written instructions are great!
A typical day
When you put your dog in my care you can guarantee they will have fun. I'm great at reading a dogs body language. Got toys? Let's play. How about tug of war or fetch? I have a laser pointer that is not just a cat toy. Even our bearded dragons gets curious when we play with it. If it's nice outside, there will be lots of play outdoors. I also have a scent hunting kit that dogs seem to enjoy. We take time to find a smell (certain essential oils) that I can place around your home and see how your dog is at using their best sense, smell! This is best for when the weather is not very good for outdoor activity. After we get their energy out, we can do one of my favorite things......cuddle with pups! Or, if your dog isn't a cuddler, there I hold space to let them chill and relax from all the fun we just had. Does your dog love walks? Do you have a spot your pup likes to go to? Do you take your dog to a local park? Let me know and I'll do it. My goal is to make your pup forget you're gone! Or at least, work to make sure you are not worried about the pets missing their people too much.

Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Tessie, and I love animals. I am a recent high school graduate with nearly a 4.0 senior year GPA. I plan on continuing my studies at Lane Community College in the fall. I am interested in pursuing a degree in architecture and drafting. I also enjoy the outdoors and any kind of arts, including music, dance, and the theater. Someday I would like to write a best-selling fiction novel. Throughout my life I’ve been surrounded by animals of various types, though mainly it’s been dogs. Having grown up around them, I’ve learned how to differentiate their usual traits from their unique quirks. I have come to the conclusion that if a dog is ever seen as “bad” it’s usually due to a negative past experience. Just like humans, no dog is perfect, so why should we expect them to be? I am confident enough in my skills that I can handle any bumps in the road we might encounter while working together. Here is why:
Reviews
Tessie O. cancelled a booking 3 days before it was scheduled to begin.

Tessie is an extremely conscientious and caring sitter. I could not have been more happy with her service and my doggie Argos was well taken care of during my trip. Highly recommend!
Thanks Tessie!

Tessie was amazing with our big black lab, Winston. She took very good care of him and I would definitely use her for any future pet sitting. She also took care of the house and watered my blueberries!
