I have been a pet owner/lover since as long as I can remember. I have always had at the very least one dog in my life and couldn’t imagine life without one. I currently have an American Staffordshire terrier named Jesse. She is my ESA and my best friend. I have been pet sitting for about 6 years now professionally. I have worked and experienced pretty much every side of the pet industry one could have. Originally from Florida, I used to sit all of my friends and family’s pets back home. I have worked in animal shelters as a volunteer and I have worked in a dog daycare setting/vet setting as well. I have experience training dogs and at one point had a family dog that was bred. I have cared for just about every size, shape, and breed of dog as well as cats and even some exotic pets too. I am a very accommodating and flexible sitter that wants only the best for you and your pet. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting all of you and your fur babies! My availability is flexible. I always make sure to block out the dates requested for my house sittings once they are confirmed and booked. This ensures your pet has my full attention and care. If need be, I limit my breaks or time away from pets to 2-3 hours max during any of my services. I do not take house sittings the day before the sit starts. This is to ensure I have the proper amount of time to prepare myself and my schedule for house sittings. For house sittings my cancellation policy is one week in advance from the start of the sitting. This is to make sure my clients have enough time to find a replacement sitter and so I can also fill in the dates if need be. For all other services my cancellation policy is 24 hours in advance. I am very accommodating. I make sure to schedule a meet and greet before each of my bookings. This ensures that both my clients, their pets, and myself are comfortable with the services being provided.

I always make sure to treat my clients home as my own. I make sure to keep things tidy and leave it cleaner than I left it. As well I make sure to secure the home before leaving as well.

Tessa took great care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats, as well as our home. She was even able to calm our anxieties throughout the stay, as this was our first experience with a house sitter. Wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.
Tessa has cared for our two large dogs for multiple housesitting engagements. She is experienced and professional. She has a great manner with our dogs and clearly has affection for them, which means so much! We have a rambunctious puppy and an older dog with mobility/chronic pain/meds and Tessa does great with both. When we return, the dogs are relaxed and happy. We love working with Tessa!


I've never written a bad review, as it takes a lot, but I am sharing our experience because I never want anyone to experience what my husband and I went through. While this could be a one-off situation, as she claims it was, the fact that we feared for our dog (and cats) well being far outweighs that excuse. Tessa is not reliable and I would not book with her again. Tessa left to quickly grab a bite to eat an hour after we left for our trip, which was her first night of watching our anxious dog. She was then unresponsive for 5 hours and did not return to our house until after 1am. Her phone number did not work that was linked in her profile and Rover Emergency line could not get ahold of her either. Finally we received a message from her at 1am (after we desperately tried to find someone to let our dog out after midnight) claiming she had a food intolerance issue and had to rest after going home to get medicine. There was zero communication to let us know she wasn't feeling well & not at our house so we were left wondering if she'd be back to our house to care for our animals. I cannot stress enough that despite our numerous efforts to reach her to make sure our animals, and her, were okay, we received no communication letting us know where she was, what was happening, and if she was coming back. We were left extremely panicked. We met with Tessa a few times prior to this stay for walks to make sure she was capable of being present for our anxious dog while we were gone. Her profile states, as does previous conversations we had, that she limits her time away if needed (it was needed in our case, which she knew) to 2-3 hours. As previously stated, she was completely MIA for about 5 hours from 8pm - 1am and we attempted to contact her for hours with no responses, which is the opposite of what she was promoting and why we booked her. We did not have her fulfill her stay and Tessa did the right thing by cancelling the remaining of the booking which I was thankful for. We ended up having to cut our trip short so we could come home to care for our traumatized and very scared dog (and two cats).


Tessa is extremely professional! She was very responsive and proactive in communicating with us. We had a great meet-and -greet, to which she came very prepared. She gave great updates while housesittiing for us, which allowed us to relax while we were away. We have two large dogs. One is young and not particularly well-mannered, and the other has some special health needs. Tessa wasn't at all intimidated by our puppy's overenthusiastic greeting. She was really dedicated to ensuring our dogs had what they needed, including exercise, engagement, and medications. The house was left very tidy and we were so happy to have been able to travel worry-free. The best part was coming home to find the dogs relaxed and happy. It was very clear that their needs had been well met when we were away. Thank you Tessa!

Schedule
I currently work as a Behavioral therapist for preschoolers on the Autism spectrum. My work schedule varies through the week. However, my hours are 8am-2pm when I do have to go into the clinic. I have weekends and holidays fully free. My job is accommodating and flexible.
