Availability
Tessa's Tailored Pet Care, is my full time job. My availability is quite flexible, with responsiveness and reliability to my clients being a top priority. I am available 7 days of the week most weeks with a flexible schedule. I am available to make stop ins at your home to check on your pet and take them out for potty breaks, on walks, or stay in for a training session or just cuddle time. Whatever your pet needs! I can also do overnight stays on your home, I currently do not offer boarding in my home. I have a 10 year old pet rabbit and he's not so fond of other animals being in his environment. Overnight stays would include a long walk in the evening and a shorter walk in the morning.

Service requirements vary pet to pet, but my level of care is always consistent. *All in-home marked services refer to the client's home. I do not offer my residence as a care environment at this time.

Let me know if your dog has any special care needs, behavioral challenges (i.e. stranger danger, dog or people reactivity or aggression, resource guarding, collar sensitivity, bolting or jumping tendency), any allergies, or any additional accommodations required so that I may be prepared. !Please let me know if dogs cannot safely be walked together so that I may schedule enough time to walk them separately!
A typical day
With my clients we can go hiking on the Palos Verdes trails, a nice walk along the beach or through the city if you are looking for socialization, enrichment sessions where we use training to exercise the mind, and a good game of tug of war or hide and seek is always fun too.

With 10+ years of experience, and over 3,500 dogs under my care over that time, you can rest assured that Tessa's Tailored Pet Care will be able to accommodate your furry loved one's every need. With eight years of dog walking/sitting experience, six years of shelter volunteer experience, and two years of experience working for the well renowned, Home Sweet Home Dog Resort; Daycare, Boarding, and Training Center in Lawrence, KS; -I have clocked over 16,000 hours of pet care. Additionally, I have worked with high profile clientele such as, members from the KU Basketball and Football teams, KU Education Faculty, as well as cared for high ranking politician's dogs. I have experience working with dogs, cats, and rabbits, but most especially behaviorally challenged/reactive dogs, anxious and antisocial dogs, large and x-large breed dogs, puppies, seniors, and medical special needs dogs. I am Pet Tech CPR & First Aid Certified, as well as experienced in administering oral and topical medications, and insulin injection. I do not have breed restrictions. I work with Cats and Rabbits in addition to dogs. I am well versed in animal behavior and I can work with you to curb your dogs unwanted habits. Professional, Dedicated, and Reliable are all words that have been used to describe my work ethic. You can count on my many years of experience and outstanding service mindset to curate a care plan that works best for you.

Tessa was truly incredible with our dog, Waffles. I was so relaxed and enjoyed every part of our vacation because she put my mind at ease. Not only did she do that, but she also did everything that I asked for, which wasn't too much. But the fact that she was so compliant, such a great listener, and such an incredible and wonderful pet sitter for our dog, Waffles, was truly phenomenal. She took such great care of our house while staying there with our beautiful boy while we were out of town. She is also so incredibly sweet and such a genuine person. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone. Once again, I am beyond thankful for her, and so is our sweet boy, Waffles.
Tessa is so accommodating to care for and be there until I returned from a late evening flight home from Chicago. She’s always so considerate, cleaning and making sure all is well when I return home. Thank you so much!
