From big dogs to countless cats, pets have always had a strong, joyful presence in my life! My pit bull at home is the reason I have such a soft spot for big dogs! I will always believe that the bigger the dog, the sweeter they often are, so I am more than comfortable caring for larger dogs. As for cats, I have two little spicy cats of my own, so I know how to handle even the sassiest of personalities! A couple of my other cats can also be timid and nervous at times, so I’ve learned how to be patient and gentle with pets that need a little coaxing. I’ve also pet-sat for neighbors’ dogs and coworkers’ cats on campus, giving me experience with a variety of personalities, routines, and care needs! During college, I also volunteered with a local animal shelter through their Dog Day Out program. You could often find me taking out a dog, going on walks, outings around campus, and car rides to help them socialize and decompress.
