Pet care experience

Purrsonal with a tailent fur pets

I have been dog and cat sitting in Greater Boston on and off for the last 7 years, as well as in home boarding. I am a volunteer at the MSPCA working with cats, dogs, rabbits and other small exotics as a medications administration volunteer, but when I'm done patching up rabbits and feeding cats at the shelter I always give them some extra love! I've been there since 2019. If your dog or cat has intravenous medications, or even just pills I'm your gal! I have one cat, Hobe, pictured with me at the MSPCA before I adopted her. She is basically my whole personality. Before living here I pets sat and dog walked for friends and family in the Midwest for 5+years. We are a rescue and foster family.

Safety, trust & environment

With the clients I already service, both cat and dog, safety and trust is highly important. With a family dog of my own, I know I would want him to be safe. On walks, dogs are always on leash for their safety and the safety of the community. Within your space, that environment is respected and should I be there, the pup shouldn't need to be crated as they are supervised. I respected any specific instructions you have for your animal- you know your furry friend best! I am here to work with you and your pets. I keep hearing about Rover horror stories and it is so upsetting. I treat others pets like my own cat or my family dog, from the moment I am in someone's home or walking their pet we are friends. I have such a cherished companion under my care and don't take that lightly.

Tessa is a lovely person who genuinely enjoys spending her time with furry loved ones, even sassy ones like my cat! Her handmade cat toys were a very sweet bonus and I would not hesitate to hire Tessa any time we need to leave our elderly kitty alone.

We were so nervous to have someone do a fluid infusion for our elderly kitty Zoey, but Tessa was excellent! She seamlessly coordinated with our regular sitter while we were away on vacation and provided a calm and safe experience for Zoey, who can be quite challenging! We are so grateful for Tessa’s expertise and would not hesitate to hire her again.

Let me know if your pets require medication. I am trained through the MSPCA to give oral and injected medications as a volunteer. As well, should they have any specific needs on walks, or things they like!
