I have worked with all types of animals in my career at a wildlife rehabilitation centers, vet clinics and zoos. I have 10 years of expertise working with many species of feline and canine big and small, domestic and exotic. I have experience working with all different ages of canines from puppies to elderly dogs, small or large dogs. I know how to administer all types of medications from orally to intramuscular. I am very comfortable working with dogs that require more care or specialized care. My personal dog, Goblin, is an elderly lady who has medical needs. Being on the older side she does have mobility limitations. I understand the signs to look for when a dog is tiring or injury. Goblin is on daily medication for pain relief. Administering her meds can be a challenge, she loves not eating pills, coming up with new inventive ways to get her to take the medication while working within her restricted diet is a daily puzzle I love solving. I understand the importance of socializing younger dogs in a positive and fun way while staying within set limitations. Those limitations can be vaccine related to proper socialization skills. I am well versed in training dogs to have good social skills with humans and other animals.

Safety, trust & environment
While proving care to your animals I will be respectful of your space and the animal’s. While dog walking I will ensure the animal has a great time exercising while also providing a safe environment to facilitate the best experience for them. That can range from long hikes, for the adventure dogs, or “sniffaries”, short walks with lots of amazing smells for dogs with mobility restrictions. While providing care to your cats I will make sure they have a clean litter box, fresh food, and lots of quality human time. Human time can range from cuddles to playtime, whichever the cat prefers. I understand each cat is unique and have their own requirements for humans. Learning these quirks and being able to satisfy them is an amazing experience and I love doing it.

Tess was punctual and my two dogs Elodin and Kali loved her! Tess is a professional and knows how to make dogs (I'm sure cats as well) feel comfortable and relaxed. I am excited to continue working with her and highly recommend her.
I have an older dog with some mobility issues. Because of Tess’s work at the zoo and her training in rehabilitating animals, she knows exactly how to exercise my dog without adding any further strain to her muscles. My son has a young, very energetic dog. Tess also knows how to play—or as she calls it, “add enrichment”—to their walks, keeping the puppy engaged and happy. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
Tess cared for my cat and bearded dragon while I traveled for work. She did an excellent job with attention to detail, playing, training, exercise and giving them the love I give them! She is easy to work with, easy to communicate with, great with instructions and really loves animals. I would hire her any day to care for my pets!

Schedule
I am available for providing care to your animals Thursday-Sunday. I am available all day Fridays and Saturdays while providing care on Thursdays and Sundays in the early mornings and after 5p.
