Walks While You’re At Work
I’m a lifelong dog lover and home care speech-language pathologist (SLP) who creates my own schedule, giving me the flexibility to provide reliable daytime walks, drop-in visits, and personalized care while you’re at work. Dogs have been a part of my life since I was 9 years old. Before my family got our first puppy, my mom made me prove I was ready for the responsibility by waking up at 5 a.m. every morning to walk around the neighborhood and even getting up during the night as if we already had a puppy. It taught me at an early age that caring for a dog is a daily commitment, but the most worth it one. Since then, I’ve cared for my own dogs through every stage of life; from bringing home 8-week-old puppies and helping with training and housebreaking to providing loving senior and end of life care. I’ve also cared for dogs in friends’ and family members’ homes, following each dog’s unique routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications or dietary restrictions, and individual personality. I have experience caring for dogs with special diets, dogs in heat, and dogs who simply thrive when their routine stays consistent. As a home care speech-language pathologist, my career is built around patience, responsibility, communication, and earning the trust of families. I bring that same level of care, reliability, and attention to detail to every pet I care for, treating them as if they were my own.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, walking routines, house rules, and any special preferences to help pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Safety is always my top priority. I make sure leashes and harnesses are properly secured before every walk, monitor for signs of stress or discomfort, keep a close eye on surroundings, and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident knowing their pet is happy and well cared for. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision. I treat every home with respect and every dog with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own.

Tess took such great care of my dog, Sweet Potato, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the start, she was communicative, reliable, and clearly loves animals. She kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Sweet Potato came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Tess has spent her life loving dogs! She took care of our family dog, Zoey, for many years including during sickness. Highly recommend for anyone looking for dog care in any capacity, especially sensitive needs.
Tess has been a wonderful companion to our golden! Our dog, Goose, just turned two this past month and she is full of energy to say the least. With my boyfriend and I’s long work schedules, Goose is crazy by the time Tess comes for her daily walk/run. She loves Tess and Tess handles her so calmly and gracefully. Every day she looks out the window around 2 PM waiting for Tess’s arrival. Highly recommend Tess to any dog lovers seeking pet walking services!
I cannot speak more highly of Tess!! She has been the most wonderful and reliable dog walker for our family for years now. She is more than happy to help whenever needed and her flexibility is much appreciated. Tess is incredible with our two large German shepherds who aren’t always the easiest to handle LOL. Bear and Callie adore her!!! Tess is your girl if you want someone who really cares, and I really couldn’t recommend her more!

Schedule
I work as a home care speech-language pathologist in Manhattan, which means I create and manage my own daily schedule. Since most of my client visits take place in the afternoons and evenings, I have flexibility during the daytime when many pet owners are at work. This allows me to accommodate midday walks, drop-in visits, puppy bathroom breaks, and individualized care throughout the week. Because I make my own schedule, I can often adjust my day to meet your pet’s needs whenever possible. I’m already out walking and biking throughout the city for work, so I’ve discovered wonderful dog-friendly parks, quieter neighborhood routes, and green spaces across Manhattan. Whether your dog enjoys an energetic walk, playtime, or a slower stroll, I’ll tailor each visit to their personality and routine.
