Pet care experience
Quality & trusted care
With years of experience in pet care, you can rest assured your pets are safe with me! Growing up with a parent as a dog-sitter, I quickly became comfortable and familiar with pets of all sizes and needs, and have maintained that knowledge through the years. Animal care has been a huge passion throughout my life and I take pride in my ability to love and care for your pet as if they are my own. My experience ranges from drop in visits and overnight stays at the clients house, to boarding at my own house, fostering, taking in strays, and giving medication. I have a 2 1/2 year old basset hound of my own who loves to play and interact with other dogs of any size, and even cats too! She is vaccinated, spayed, and crate trained.

Ratings and reviews
Tess was fantastic with Mila, and went above and beyond accommodating us! I was very appreciative of the updates and pics. I would absolutely leave Mila in her care again!

Went great. Her dog, Judy was an excellent roommate.

TESS was/is amazing. We had a death in the family and at the last minute she was able to take both of my monsters and they sure had alot of fun! When back again next year if Tess is available most definitely will book again

Tess has come and taken care of my dog for extended periods of time. She is amazing and really caters so well to your dog's needs. My puppy has EPI and needs medications with each meal and she followed all my instructions to a T, and even gave updates throughout the weekend, sending me pictures of their walks and videos of him playing. When she was leaving my boy cried through the window. She really loves dogs and she did an amazing job with my fur baby!
We have two very high maintenance border collies. Feliz is high energy/excitable and needs to be entertained a lot. Bear is shy, timid, anxious and does not warm up to new people well. It is so difficult to take Bear out of the house for boarding, that we really needed to find someone who could come to our house and stay while we are away. The first time we hired Tess we were nervous about how Bear would react with her. So Tess made a point to come to the house a few times and spend time cuddling and getting to know Bear so he would feel comfortable with her. Now when she comes in he is excited to see her. Tess sometimes brings her own dog, Judy when she stays with our pups, which has been a huge bonus for both of our dogs. Bear is very fond of her and all three dogs play well together. We and our pups love Tess so much. Tess is the best dog-sitter we've had. She cares so much about each one of them, and manages each one of their routines with kindness and concern. She is professional and trustworthy, plus she ALWAYS leaves the house and the yard/dog space cleaner than when she arrived! We highly recommend Tess!
Tess has been involved with animals all her life, even bringing home strays . She is a very responsible pet owner and enjoys caring for dogs and other animals. She would make a very dependable employee!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced yard perfect for pups to roam and relax with supervision and am close to Wascana Lake for a nice long walk. There are many parks nearby, great for a good sniff session! I am able to crate any pets if needed as my own pup stays in her kennel when we are out. To maintain the safety of your pet, I have a maximum quantity of 2 additional dogs in house at a time.

A typical day
In my experience a tired dog is a good dog! Your pup will get lots of activity throughout their time with me from long walks at the lake and strolling around the neighbourhood, to roaming around and playing in the yard, and brain stimulation activities like lick mats, kongs, and enrichment bowls!
