I work from home so availability is flexible, but at least 3 nights minimum preferred to make it worth the trip, although sometimes I can combine shorter requests. I can plan to arrive before your departure to go through notes and routine, depending on timing, and/or schedule a video call for a meet and greet beforehand. My daily schedule is mostly self-managed so I'm also flexible to adapt to your usual routine.

A typical day
Happy to adapt to your walking and playtime routine, or I love exploring new areas and checking out new walks too. Let me know if there are dogparks you like to go to, if you're comfortable with me taking them, or favorite toys or games to play at a park or in the yard. I live in Minneapolis right now but lived and worked in Cook County on and off for many years - I dogsit for friends on the North Shore occasionally and I would love to come up and do the same for you! ***Available for requests throughout the Arrowhead and Duluth region, please disregard service area limits imposed by the site. Twin Cities metro requests considered as well. Hi! I'm Tess, she/her, I live in Minneapolis right now but lived and worked in Cook County on and off for many years - I petsit for friends around the Arrowhead occasionally and I would love to come up and do the same for you! Please note I prioritize requests for at least four days or more, though I may be able to accomodate shorter requests. I started dogsitting in 2011 after growing up with a series of miniature schnauzers, and living with goldens, terriers, and cats at my summer job. Since then, I've done nearly 30 petsits with all types of dogs, cats, fish, chickens, a parakeet, and a bearded dragon! I've had sits everywhere from the middle of D.C. to rural farmhouses, and everything from a long weekend to nearly a month. I'm an animal lover all round - definitely one of those kids who wanted to be a vet - and I have a special knack for dogs, as many happy dog parents have told me. I've also provided standalone dogwalking as well, and have walking and dogsit experience with young puppies all the way up to a 16-year-old golden!

Tess was a marvelous pet sitter! She stayed at our cabin for 4 nights with our two dogs and cat. We came home to three happy and relaxed pets, plus some homemade treats to boot! We have our fingers crossed that Tess will be available for future stays.

Tess did a fantastic job with our Lolli and two cats. All was well when we came back from our long weekend. Tess took detailed notes as we went through our home, she has a quiet spirit and Lolli really radiated to her. Thank you Tess for taking care of our home and four legged babies while we were gone.
